r[quote=kerfree]Shooting into the sun and manipulating the dials in gloves, while learning one's way around a new camera is probably not the smartest way to learn - but sure had fun trying! Here are the first pics out - I think the Panasonic GH3 and me are going to be great together :) :D (Working on controlling refractions and composition - C&C very welcome)[/quote
So that's what you guys do in winter, how interesting.

These were all taken from 7am-8am. Looked like a pretty Sunrise so I took a walk. Got all the Christmas lights down and put away yesterday. Cleaned up a few flower beds. Janny wanted to leave the lights in the flower box's.
Then a Rainbow showed up.:):) We are under a flood watch today. And it is getting darker out. So glad I went for a walk this morning.:)

Erv, I can understand why you go of a walk where you do, it is exquisite.

The pelican pics are Sigma 120-400. The remote track is Sigma 70-700 f2.8. Camera is D3100. User is RS.

Eastern AU is rife with bushfires just now, so there is some smoke haze. The birds just would not turn around for me. All are straight from the camera.

Nice photos with great lenses!

Hawk, not a great shot, but I got it! If anyone knows what kind of hawk this is, please let me know and thank you in advance.

Also a few others.

C & C always welcome. Photos are cropped only.

Great shots Joyfullee, unfortunately I can't help with the hawk ID but I think that it could be a type of Harrier.

What the fuck is freaky about trying to reduce the number of bloody weapons that people use to kill each other? And then some stupid, stupid, moronic idiot suggests we should give guns to the teachers! More guns? Seriously? You people are fucking bonkers. I give up. Glad I live in a country that is relatively sane. You just carry on shooting each other. Idiots!

Bazamac, just exactly where do you think you are? In a back alley behind a bar, talking to hookers and drug dealers? Your disgusting behavior disrespects this forum and everyone on it. I'll save a little time in the future by not reading your posts and replies.

You get my vote Danilo, there is absolutely no need to stoop to that level !

Just awful news from Newtown, Connecticut. My heart goes out to all the families, teachers and pupils who are having to come to terms with this appalling act of indiscriminate murder. Any chance you guys might finally get around to putting the guns away?

Maybe it's the video games that they grew up on....

I believe that you have a point Blurryeyed!
