What is the best software to use to back up my computer? Some have recommended Backblaze. What does this community think? Thanks for your recommendations.
When I last opened LRC some of the folders were grayed out and indicated 0 pictures. It’s as if LR now can’t find them. Not happening to all folders. Just some. All folders and pictures are still on my external hard drive, backed up on an additional hard drive and backed up to One Drive. Any ideas why all of a sudden LR doesn’t see the folders and pictures? Also, my One Drive account is full and will not back up. What is best cloud backup? Backblaze or others? I use Windows 10. Recent ads for Windows 11 seem to indicate it will offer cloud backups. Is it worth looking into?
I back up my Lightroom catalog to my internal hard drive, an external drive and to One Drive once a week when I exit Lightroom. Following is currently what is backed up. How much of this do I need to keep?
Have been on several Fall trips to Maine coast. Love the Beachmere in Ogunquit.
It's been said here before, the best camera is the one you have with you. We had an unannounced fire drill at my company this morning. Had been trying to get a group picture for a long time. Had my cell phone. Got a great group picture.
Excellent article in Saturday's WSJ by sportswriter Jason Gay that relates to GAS discussions. Article was about sports gear but relates. Said he was a gearaholic; I thought I was one buy away from greatness; it took me years to realize that I was the technology that mattered, and my tech is flawed. Having said all this, even though I own a Sony A7Riv and a RX 100 VI, I may buy a Leica Q3. GAS attack and I'm encouraged that several Hoggers were non judgmental recently and encouraged the op. If you can afford it go for it.
I have 3 cameras; small, medium and large. Sony RX100VI, Sony A7C and Sony A7Riv. Rarely take all 3. Usually just one depending on what I'm shooting and where and how I'm going.
Wait a few days and try the link again. I think it will work. No new big revelations in the article. Just interesting.
I could send a link but you need to be a subscriber. In a few days go to their website and I think you can see it.
Good article in today's WSJ, "DO You Need a REAL Camera, Too. Points out advantages and disadvantages of 'real' cameras and phone cameras.
The day to day realization of goals and objectives that are important ro the individual.
GAS If you can afford it go for it if you want it. We don't work all our lives just to leave everything to our kids. Hope my last check bounces and my kids try to figure out what to do with all the toys I left behind.
It's all about the money. Just like college football.
