Back in the 1970s, I bought a Miranda Sensorex, and that was my sole camera (I think) until I bought the Nikon F Photomic. Today, I can't imagine having just one working camera. Do any of you have just one working camera?

Not me. I have two canons and two Olympus. When I first got a DSLR, for years, I only had one. I can’t imagine having one camera now.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it I have on one camera, a D850 and only 4 Tamron lens's. I don't know how I'll survive.

Yes

It is called an Iphone 13.

Actually, I do have a Nikon 7100 but it has been in a drawer for three years unable to compete with my Iphone for ease of use ,

I have two cameras, a DSLR and a bridge.
I use the DSLR 98% of the time.
(The bridge focuses down to 2cm though.)
I don't need a second (or third) DSLR.

When my brother-in-law came for a visit in the early 1970s, I was impressed by his Sensorex. I had a Sensormat, too.

Personally, I've mostly given up on carrying 2+ cameras into the field. Just too much to lug around, even if the two bodies can share lenses. That said, I'd have great trouble now shooting with just one camera always. When heading out with one, I certainly want to have options for which 'one' that will be.

Including my collection i have 228 SLRs. My EDC SLR is a Praktica, it was my first and i love it still. I shoot DSLR Nikon D200 and a D100 for backup. No need for $8000 camera.

I may have a second camera in the car, but have also stopped carrying multiple cameras otherwise. Careful research has demonstrated that extreme focal lengths (beyond 24 or 120mm) are rarely necessary. It has also informed my decision of which camera to select.

When I go out for a few hours of shooting, I always have extra cards, batteries, and another camera in the car.

Down to three. Canon R5 for landscape and birds with a 100-400 v2, OM 1 travel and my old Canon 7D Mk2 with a Tamron 150-600 if I feel like weightlifting

PS I do have several film cameras from the 1960’s but since I dont wish to inhale chemicals and commercial processing is almost non existent in Ottawa, I just keep them as display items for old times sake. .
