I have (or had as I discovered today) a similar product, the Bolt VM-160. It is not like a speedlite strobe. The flash mode briefly turns the leds on and off again. I think the most common use would be for macro work in any mode except 'flash'. I tested mine a bit the day I bought it. I then removed the batteries and left it in a drawer until today when I saw your post. Took it out, put in new batteries and it failed to power up. No big loss. After it hits the trash can there will be more room in that drawer for the never used Wacom tablet.

A large edited jpg of your 1st raw file. As far as why this one isn't as sharp as you may like, it was between 2 and 3 stops underexposed. Bringing up exposure in post-processing adds noise. When I reduce noise it tends to soften the image and limit my ability sharpen.

I selected camera standard for color, reduced color temp, increased exposure, adjusted blacks and tone curve, sharpness, noise reduction, vibrance, clarity, and a spot or two removed in ACR, then made a couple of minor adjustments in Photoshop. I left the cropping decision for you.

Your YN-968n has both optical slave (lightning bolt icon) and radio wireless slave (radio tower icon) modes. First, make sure you are in one of the 5 optical slave modes, and not one of the 2 radio slave modes since you want to trigger the remote flash with your pop-up. Of the three optical slave modes that involve groups and channels, avoid "Sc" as the flash will be looking for Canon commands instead of Nikon. "Sn&Sc" or "Sn" will work. The other optical modes "S1" and "S2" are common to most flash units and will not support remote power and zoom adjustments or auto-fp sync. As previously mentioned, be sure the remote flash optical sensor can see the pop-up flash.

Also make sure the output level for Channel 1, Group A on your 750's pop-up Commander is not set to "--".

If you want your subject to be the seed pod and working with the image you already have, you could:

Crop close and rotate to suit your taste. Increase overall exposure a little, brighten shadows, add edge clarity and vibrance. Dehaze or add contrast slightly, adjust color to taste, and sharpen to enhance texture. Remove distracting stem and its shadow.

Finally, if you let your imagination see the evil sweet gum seed pod waiting for its next barefoot victim, you can bring it to life with a set of evil eyes. Something like this (apology if you wanted description w/o example):

Yes, many people seem to be frustrated by the topic naming practices of some UHH members.

If it makes you feel better, you can add your name to the list of others who have shared your view since 2011. I'm sure there are several threads I missed compiling the list using this site's very limited search function.

The annual price is currently $119 plus tax. Mine just renewed and was $128 and change with the tax.

It looks like I would expect a bird in flight to look at that angle shot at 1/160 sec. No obvious signs of photoshop insertion. Just motion blur.

It's 20GB of free storage if you own and register a Nikon camera. I've had it for some time now. I've used it to share full size image files with family and friends via password protected links. I also have a public link (folder with selected smaller images) here.

I have never used another service, such as flickr, so I can't evaluate by comparison.

I have used both the Yongnuo rf-603 and yn-622 series to act as a radio shutter release for my D7000 and D750. I'm sure they will work just fine with the D7100. The 603 series is only $30 a pair and the 622 series will cost around $75 a pair.

You did not say how the remote flash is being triggered, the remote flash settings, or the camera settings.

Make sure your shutter speed is 1/200 or slower since the flash is not auto-fp sync (HSS) capable.

Shoot in manual mode or shutter speed mode on the camera. You may be able to use other modes but you have to be sure 'auto fp sync' is off via the menu system if you do. I almost always use manual mode when using off-camera flash, especially for flash units that are non-ttl, and non HSS like the TT560.

If triggering with another flash (either in hotshoe) or popup, make sure the triggering flash is not using TTL.

Or, if you use ttl on the triggering flash make sure that the TT560 is in a slave mode that ignores pre-flash (normally S2).

And again, if triggering with another flash be sure it is not using red-eye reduction.

According to Adobe's site, The Panasonic Lumix DMC Lx-100 RW2 image files require Camera Raw Version 8.7. That version is available in Lightroom 5 and later, Photoshop CS6 and later, and Photoshop Elements 13 or greater. As mentioned above, you can also download Adobe's DNG converter for free and still work with CS5 (although not as seamless as the other programs).

You might also want to save the following links for future reference:

Viewing at 100% in Photoshop shows one pixel on your screen for each pixel in the image. What you see depends on your monitor's resolution. View>Print Size represents one inch of screen space for every inch of printed image (based on the image resolution setting, and is dependent on the accuracy of Edit>Preferences>Units&Rulers>Screen Resolution).

Is it TTL?

If your question is for my link, the search criteria was for TTL flash units compatible with Panasonic/Olympus cameras. It returned 38 units (or bundles) in their inventory (all TTL). The Godox TT6850 and TT3500 mini look like they might be two possible options for you.
