Has anyone used "Nikon's Image Space" and if so what do you think? 2G of free storage does seem like much.

I needed something new to play with. I just signed up. I'll let you know

I’m happy with it, though I may not use it as much as some of you. I like it for sharing family gatherings and car shows. It’s easy to use.
Thank you both. I might try it.
Using the registration number of an 8 year old Nikon pocket camera, I just signed up for the free 20G storage account at Nikon Image Space. 20 gigs is much better than the measly 2 gigs you get without supplying a Nikon camera registration number. (Although I suppose one could simply make up a registration number... the site doesn't demand proof the camera actually exists.)
First impressions:
Very attractive layout. Easy to navigate and use. Has some practical organizing features. Uploading files is a bit slow, but not too bad. I will likely be using it in the future to share images, and possibly also for transferring files between devices.
It's 20GB of free storage if you own and register a Nikon camera. I've had it for some time now. I've used it to share full size image files with family and friends via password protected links. I also have a public link (folder with selected smaller images) here.
http://img.gg/8TO4NKRI have never used another service, such as flickr, so I can't evaluate by comparison.

There is so much free storage available, but I wouldn't use it as backup - just for display. There's a good reason they use the term "Cloud." They just about as permanent. I use Google Photos for posting and displaying pictures for a couple of groups.

Rick - I've never given much thought to using Nikon Image Space until now.
I just now registered and am uploading an album.
Thank you.

If you have 2 Nikon Cameras you can get an additional 20 G with a second account with a second email address. You can register a Max of 2 cameras.

I had never heard of it and am starting to take the tour. Looks real easy and I like that you can upload high quality images and need to reduce file size. I think I will sign up with two cameras. Has anyone tried the Adobe website creators LR and PS?
I have been using it for years, and am very happy with it. I just upgraded to 20 GB, and it cost me nothing. I have no way of knowing if that's generally available or because I have been using for so long, so that's all I can tell you.

I think the quality of the site is very good. I limit my use, however for special short term storage because of the space limit and the fact that I have more than enough redundant backup on multiple platforms.

Or just make up a camera registration number if you don't own any Nikon cameras. During the sign up procedure, the site only asks you to type in a registration number; no proof of purchase needs to be supplied.
Rook2c4: WOW! 20G, didn't see that. I'll sign up and give it a whirl. Thanks
