Am I the only one who thinks that one’s topic title should have at least some relation to the attached photos? I often see topic titles such as “Shots of Dingefuddle Park,” but the photos have no reference to the park and could have been shot anywhere.

Just enjoy the photos. Who cares where it is.

You're not the only one!

“Shots of Dingefuddle Park” - I'm expecting shots of the park itself, not animals.

" Albuquerque" - I'm expecting shots of Albuquerque, not Where to shoot when I go there?

"Best <widget>" - I'm expecting to hear opinions about why the <widget> is the best, not which one should I buy.

"How to <process function>" - I'm expecting a tutorial on doing it, not a question on how to do it.

"Problem with editor" - we have to open the topic, only to find we don't use that editor (or camera, or printer, or .... ) and cannot help.

People have the subject in their head, knowing exactly what the title is about, but no one else does.

Added relevant words are not expensive and show good communication skills, leaving little for conjecture or confusion.

I vote for less ambiguous titles too!

No, it's not just you. Some of us refer to things such as mentioned in yours and another post in this thread as click bait.

Speaking of titles, a meaningless title makes the Search feature useless: "Help," "Advice Needed," "Big Problem."

Not just you. Have no idea the number of topic titles that make my eyes roll once I open the topic up. And for Pete's sake, take a minute and check your spelling.

Then there are the two part titles that begin with something like “Just a .....” and the second part of that sentence will be in the text once you click on it. Those are the ones that are my pet peeve.

Look, I understand your complaint,, but have you ever been to Dingefuddle Park? It is run down, poorly managed and a popular drug sales spot. The abandoned needles are enough to turn one away and seek a better venue.

I think he meant <location> in general.
