Forgot to add, the 50-140mm broke on day 2 (probably my fault - lens came apart from the coupling to the Fujis) so 95% was shot with the 100-400mm - great Lens.

Tanzania 3 months ago - 2 fuji x-t2s, wide zoom in the bag, 50-150mm on one body. Rented 100-400 on second body. 1.5 multiplier. Still had to crop most images to get exactly what I wanted even at 400mm (600mm 35 mm equivalent). Would have added a more but did not feel like reducing the jpgs for this. This should give you some idea of what focal lengths will work and some of the crops were extensive.

So, whatever you take with you, glass is everything - mediocre glass will give u mediocre results. And unless u are living in Africa, if u miss anything u can't walk to your back door and shoot it again.

I use Auto-Owners for car, home, etc. - and all essentials equipment is listed for what I paid with serial #s, etc. on a rider and I get full replacement value - in most cases I call B&H or another Retailer and they send a new replacement right away and Auto owners pays my listed price on the rider plus shipping. Hasn't happened much, but when it did, it really saved my whatever! I also use them for home and auto and will not tell you the price when I had a flood in my home from an overflow but it covered everything.

Of course we can always compare that with your first meeting with a kidney stone - have had some women tell me the experience is pretty close!!

Check out the Sirui tripods. Very well made and sturdy and price and type five you lots of choices - I took the N-1205X with a Acratech head on safari and it held my x-t2 with 100-400mm lens with no trouble - and it folds up and packs in a small rolling duffel!

It is. But it is a nice upgrade from the x-T2. However, the x-T4 is sitting in the background and may have IBS - so I will sit and weight, and like another poser up there, if I really want it I can get it as photography and the tools to make images are my only vice (besides eating well!!). But the mirrorless wars are now heating up and it will be fun to watch the scramble by all of the recognizable big shots -------------- now if the Contax brand were to appear out of the abyss in the G model as mirrorless I would have to get one to go with the 5 lenses I have sitting in a case downstairs!!! Wouldn't that be a killer!!!

Very nice - the primary isolate should always be the first thing a viewer sees, and then the supporting isolates become a factor in the composition and add substance and meaning to your vision. Very nicely done. Shrooms, apples, pears, etc. - lots of fun to play with - pick up a book by Edward Weston and you will see what I mean.

Send it in to Nikon repair. They guarantee the work and will probably give your camera a thorough going over and let you know if anything else was adjusted or needed adjustment. Don't mess with local camera stores - they mean well but are not authorized repair sites (for the most part). Don't be penny wise and pound foolish!!

I am a Fuji user also. Believe you will love the camera. Safari last month in Tanzania and a rented 100-400mm got some incredible results. A suggestion would be to do a bit of post processing on the above images which are very nice - just my 2 cents!!

Have 2 xt-2 Fujis - never go anywhere without them - use them both, but if one has a problem I have the other. Have always had a pair to take with me on trips, assignments, etc. And that includes Nikons, Canons, and now Fujis.

Acratech GP-ss with lever clamp on a Sirui tripod for travel and around home
3 others for around home on 3 other tripods - Benro V3, Arca Swiss, and Kaiser - but the Acratech is my favorite. All equipped with Arca type quick release plates.

And a SSD 3.0 or 3.1 (or C if you go Apple) external drive should make your storage problems go away if you get large enough storage on it. SSD drives get really expensive after you get to a terabyte of storage. I just picked up a Samsung 500 gig T5 SSD drive from Best Buy locally for $135.00 for travel to store images and anything else so I have both my SSD internal hard drive and a SSD external drive for storage (besides my extra SD cards if I run in to trouble in the field and need a bit more storage - which has never happened but there is always a first time!!). And another external drive of your choice to back up your computer daily is a must. Make sure you get a laptop that will let you run 2 screens if you get to that point where you want it, and I agree with CPR - lots of internal storage and as much memory (RAM) and best graphic's card as u can afford. I do not have a touch screen so can't pass judgement on that one.
