Just thought I would submit some of my initial pics right out of the box with the 18-55 mm "kit" lens. I must say...I am very pleased with just turning this on and shooting. I haven't even begun to get into the menu settings which I understand is key to using this great little camera. But I will tell you that it is a joy to use and much easier to pick up and run out of the house with! As I get into it a little more, hopefully you will see my pics become better and better. (the mushrooms were taken with my little "flippy screen" - nice not to have to get on the ground and also worry about the weather sealing on the camera)

"flippy screen" - too funny. You are off to a great start! #3 in particular seems to have excellent clarity and exposure. Love the irritated look of the kitty.

Good luck with your Fuji XT2 and your first shots are a good start. I have had my Fuji XT2 for a year and a half moving from a Nikon FF. My photos are better with my Fuji and its a hoot to shoot with and have enjoyed the Fuji very much.

Thanks Steve! Was a little overwhelmed with the techs on this camera but when I saw what I could do quickly...the best is yet to come ;) Just look at this thing - how could you not be excited to go out with it! Maybe I could ask you for hints if I run into some issues?

Great “little” camera and lens isn’t it? (I don’t mean little in a pejorative way, just that it’s small and lightweight). You’re off to an excellent start - keep ‘em coming.

I agree wholeheartedly, this is a really nice camera. I grab it all the time. And the kit 18-55 ain’t too shabby either.

It is a great "little" camera - about the same weight as my D500 w/ the same lens but so much less bulk and quite a bit lighter than the 7200 I was looking at - happy with my decision ;)
