The new Fuji makes me wish I had not bought my X-T2 and waited for this new sweet thing! Improved in all the right places and nothing sacrificed. Faster, bigger, more detailed and more accurate everything, with a touch screen thrown in. Continuous fire up to 30fps, new processor, new EVF. Can't wait for some Hog to get one and make me even more envious!

Here's your chance to have a backup camera. Put a tele on one and a W/A on the other.

Get off the gear-lust hamster wheel.

What you have is great and will continue to be great...there is ALWAYS something newer/better and there always will be.

Take pictures, not cash out of your pocket.

Cat - I’m thinking about renting one from LensRentals.com when LR has them in stock. As of last night LR didn’t have either the X-T3 or the new Canon EOS R. The good news is that as a new ‘flagship’ camera, it will be around for many years. The X-T2 has been a VERY popular Fuji model and should produce great photos for a thoughtful, talented person like you. Once the in-depth reviews of the X-T3 start coming out, the reviewers may decide there is less reason for X-T2 owners to switch. It is still ‘early days’. — Ralph

Because technology continues to improve with each new camera there is no end to this. I bet in a couple of year there will be something new from Fuji, if not before.
Use what you have and enjoy.

I do love the one I have and have no plans to get the new one. But that does not prevent me from enjoying other's experiences with the new model. Fuji has produced such elegant cameras, and the X-T3 specs make it something I would just like to handle a bit. New sensor, new processor, new video, new screen and new EVF, same layout and controls. As a surgeon, I am a lover of good instruments. An elegant, perfectly engineered tool is a thing of beauty. The Fuji is one of these.

He was probably confused then because you said in your first sentence:

"The new Fuji makes me wish I had not bought my X-T2 and waited for this new sweet thing!"

Rather than, "I have no plans to get one but this is a pretty nice camera...let's discuss!"

I know that I read your dissatisfaction the same way.

I agree with You the review by DP Review and Chris and Jordan was stellar,,,,will see how more reviews go as the Camera gets into a lot of people's hands,,,might rent one from Lens Rentals or Borrow Lenses,,,but if the Autofocus is stellar for Birds in Flight my XT2 and grip which is a great Camera will be traded in to B & H for the new XT3 and grip,,,,at my age I pretty much buy what I want,,,don't pay any attention to the naysayers,,,if You want it get it .....the New Canon mirror less shoots down to -6 EVF and according to Canon has the world's fastest autofocus ,,, time will tell but the lens diameter on the Canon and Nikon mirror less is much bigger than Sony at around 55 to 45 and the flange distance is I believe 20 for Canon and around 15 for Nikon,,,should make for some very exciting new Cameras and Lenses in the future !!!

Nice camera. I hope Fuji still make it in Japan like the XT-2.

After you take a peek-see of the new X-T3 and realize you want it, the best thing to do is sell/trade you X-T2 and upgrade to the X-T3. Of course, next year they will introduce an X-T4 and then what will you do??
I bought my X-T2 a year ago and am still struggling with the menu. I am so accustomed to the Nikon's menu that it is hard for this really old feeble brain to learn a whole new menu system. But as soon as the new X-T3 arrives at Hunt's Photo store (just outside of Boston), I may stop by and take a peek-see just out of curiosity. ~FiddleMaker

I continue to hang with my XT-1 and X-Pro 1. Both produce wonderful images, given Fujifilm’s terrific selection of lenses for them. I feel as if the capabilities of the bodies meets and probably exceeds my abilities to see and capture images. I had thought to replace the two bodies with the second generation offerings and am pleased I did not, as the third generation seems a greater refinement over the second than the second over the first. Continually chasing the next generation resembles chasing one’s tail, particularly when one has a difficult time figuring out what constitutes a quantum leap in functionality. I suspect that decision is highly personal.

The best advice. All of these cameras will take great pictures. Buying the latest and greatest does not mean that you will take better pictures because you have the latest bells and whistles.

Can’t wait for price on the T2 to drop so I can pick one up as a spare to my XPro 2

I read somewhere quite awhile ago that the new Fujifilm X-T3 is made in China.
