The XH1 is a different type Fuji camera since it is larger, heavier due to the IBIS and it has made major strides with video. I wouldn't say that the XH1 is the flagship since while it is newer than the XT2 the XH1 fits a different niche. The XT3 while it does not have IBIS and is the identical size as the XT2 it represents several new developments for Fuji, namely the fastest focusing of any Fuji to date, native minimum low ISO from 200 to 160 and the best battery life of any Fuji camera. Finally, the video capabilities of the XT3 are equal to and in some areas better than the XH1. The brand new XT3 is a lower price than the XT2 when it was introduced in 2016.

Fuji also added some of the extra cost options for the XT2, making them integral to the XT3, so - you're getting a deal, there!!!

Technology is always advancing. The X-T2 is a great camera. The X-T3 is the next innovation. Continue to shoot with what you have. Just get out and shoot in great light with great opportunities. The camera companies will always make improvements because they need to sell cameras. You don't need to get the latest technology. It pays to skip a few every now and then because the next advancement could be even better.

You would wonder why they hide the "made in China" behind the tiltly screen? The Nikon Df has its "made in Japan" on the top deck.

Of course Nikon could have used that real estate for something useful.

After you take a peek-see of the new X-T3 and realize you want it, the best thing to do is sell/trade you X-T2 and upgrade to the X-T3. Of course, next year they will introduce an X-T4 and then what will you do??
I bought my X-T2 a year ago and am still struggling with the menu. I am so accustomed to the Nikon's menu that it is hard for this really old feeble brain to learn a whole new menu system. But as soon as the new X-T3 arrives at Hunt's Photo store (just outside of Boston), I may stop by and take a peek-see just out of curiosity. ~FiddleMaker

Have you not noticed. The number 4 in Japanese camera model nomenclature is a No No. Superstition keeps Japanese camera makers avoid the number 4 in camera models, unless it's a Roman Numeral IV. This has been a long standing avoidance issue for decades. Note that the Olympus OM-4 models were all plagued with circuit board issues that drained batteries. In fact the replacement circuit boards in all the OM-4 camera's were all used up, and OM-4 models that died other death were all made donor camera's for the last OM-4's that failed the battery drain deaths.

Japanese camera model lineage often skips use of the numeric 4 in sequences.

Superstitious nonsense..... Hmmmm, I wonder?

Damien Lovegrove (first link) is one of my favorite. He is amazing photographer, a true master of light, I've been watching him for a long time. I believe he can create a masterpiece with a box with the hole.

Camera lust is a lot like looking at anything with a fresh face and shiny parts... dangerous to the wallet. I can’t wait for Panasonic to announce on the 25th...

The Fugi cameras have the name, "Fujifilm" on the camera. Must they really continue using the word, "film," in the name?

Probably because they made FujiFilm - you know Velvia, Astia etc etc. Makes total sense to me respecting their past whilst moving on through the NOW to the future. I never think about it. I have two FujiFilm Cameras an Xe2 and an Xt1. That's also why I like the old Nippon Kogaku Nikkor-P lenses I find the name more romantic than Nikon Nikkor on the lenses I have. Should I buy more vintage Nippon Kogaku lenses I'll be very happy. As I will be when I get my new, discarded 2nd hand FujiFilm Xt2 from a lovely person who just bought themselves their new, amazing, Xt3......
