They say they will be unleashed to cover photography as well as gear. So they'll cover many dimensions instead of, "Brand X just released the SnapIt 900 Mark X."

DPR's image comparison charts were great, and I hope PetaPixel considers adding something like them to their site.

Whether computer or camera, there is only so much you can see with benchmarks and statistics. Real-world performance testing is generally more useful to me. I test all my gear as I get it, to be sure I avoid issues I should be aware of.

In my opinion both guys are not as good as the original guys that built up the original DPR to a splendid site. Sorry!

If you don't need cataloging or heavy duty editing, then try Fasttone Viewer. It is free, and the companion program, Batch Resizer is super.

Thumbs up all the way. Magnificent program and free. However I donated to the owner $20. Edits raw too. You cannot go wrong. You will love it with time.

Yes, that was it. I must have accidentally triggered bracketing using that button. Being new to and unfamiliar with Fuji, I was unsuccessfully searching through the Menu system and didn't consider a possibility that bracketing would be under a Drive/Delete button. Thank you very much.

I have the same problem with my Sony RX100 I. Do you believe that the problem is the same? And how if you know I can correct that?

Much obliged

Your best solution may be to buy a boat and get closer ......

Or even better, buy the island and move there. But then again you have to search for the current window to photograph.

Therefore you need either way a long zoom camera. But in this case money will be not matter for you. You will own a whole island after all. Dont be so cheap.!

From my window I can see a small island in the bay. I bought the Phone Scope which is supposed to attach my iPhone Pro Max to my telescope - too unsteady. So I’m looking for a camera that will zoom in on the island and take sharp photos of the wildlife which is not visible without a strong telescope.
Any suggestions for a low cost camera for taking sharp distant images?

Lumix ZS50 with 30X zoom lens, extremely pocketable at $300 is not bad.

https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Lumix-ZS50-Camera-Black/dp/B00RBG687A/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=lumix+zs50&qid=1604831447&sr=8-2

Or the Lumix ZS70 at $310 with higher resolution and 4K video

ZS 50 camera, unedited, handheld, 30X shot, of the Mystras Byzantine Castlle near Sparta , Greece, at 1,9 miles straight line. Hand tremor that of a 75 years old carcass.

His question was about which Picture Controls Nikon shooters use. Instead of answering his question, you want to lecture him about RAW. Read his post:

You can say that again CO. Almost everybody does that. The same with the other common answer like "it depends what you want your camera for".
Straight answers to simple questions please! Then you can further expand if you wish.

I am not good at all with computers so PS/LR and so are above me but I was able to do some things in Picasa. Now that Google has stopped their support, I cannot send my pictures at all via my Gmail or Hotmail accounts. I dumped some into Google photos and not having any luck editing them or emailing them as well.

I need a good simple program that I do not have to spend days or weeks learning because of time and I only shoot occasionally.

Thanks,
Bobby

I really want to get the most out of my photography and I'm think that is what the OP is looking for in trying to find an easy RAW editor and I wish him/her luck.

You got 50% of my problem. The rest 50% is the work flow etc.
Thanks to all for their time, but some make you feel naive or they are fighting in favor of the Phoshop and Lightroom. Both are complicated programs as they are, and I will never considered using them, even though I own LR v.4
Thks a anyway
