I have on on my canon 50D and love it. Have not noticed any softness but then I am not a pro. One fault is that the lens will move on it's own if held pointing downwards.

But the term 'god' is still a construct of people. People wrote the bible. People decided we had to have a god. There have been many gods. Hindi gods etc, so why is The God the only one? Who decided that? If God decided that or 'it's in the bible' then it's a circular argument.
It all comes down to what you believe. I choose NOT to believe fairy stories written in the 'bible'. You choose to believe them. And so it goes.

Just to set the record straight, I, in my infinitesimal opinion, think that religion is a construct of people, mostly men, to try and hold power over other poor gullible souls.
So, apparently, there is only one god. The christian god. So were all the other religions wrong? Just wondering.

I'm straight because I am. My daughter is gay, because she is. She didn't choose. She tried to be straight as a teenager but just had to concede the fact that she's gay. So what?
