Multipart Question

2 Monitor setup. Profiled with a borrowed ColorMunki device last fall. Different monitors at that time. Two different profiles created for Monitor 1 (old), Monitor 2 (new). Monitor 1 and 2 were not same devices

Windows10

Monitor 1 faded recently and replaced with a new monitor - both Monitor 1 and 2 are now same devices.

Windows still reports using old not appropriate profile on Monitor 1, different but appropriate profile for Monitor 2. I see no way to replace Monitor 1 profile (for prior monitor) with Monitor 2 profile (theoretically appropriate for both devices). Can this be done (force Monitor 2 profile onto Monitor 1)? Perhaps this would make monitors look more similar for now.

Presumably I really need to calibrate both monitors to allow for differences in manufacture.

I am non professional hobbyist. Rarely print anymore but I find different color balance on monitors distracting, irritating, etc.

Thus, please make suggestions for *appropriate to me* ColorMunki equivalent product.

Thanks

Adobe Bridge will let you manage ( but not edit) all of these files.

Photos and PDF Files can be viewed in Bridge, Word files not however.

I have the above camera with kit lens (16-50 mm ). I bought the camera for live view and lightness compared to Nikon D 300

I have reviewed my photos and I take a lot at 130-200 mm with my current Nikon 18-200

Would like some longer reach. Sony 18-105 and 18-135 not really enough reach for what I like to do

Would those with experience comment on the 55-200 and 18-200 Sony lenses or any other appropriate choice for me: non professional, competent amateur, rarely print and if so usually 8x10. Most pics will end up on a computer but some on a digital picture frame. Some pics end up in magazines occasionally

Goal is light and simple with reasonable quality with ability to use all Sony functions.
Thanks

Sorry for mangled English

"Aube I don’t use long focal lengths very often."
should have been
"Not sure if I use long focal lengths very often."

I believe the iphone made a few corrections for me.

f8lee thanks for help. This is precisely what I was looking for and it answered my question as to what fl's I often use.

Appreciate your response

F8lee- that’s exactly what I want (or is close enough)

Addendum to original question : is there a way to export the metadata ( maybe just some of it - focal length for example) to a format that could be evaluated by Excel or a database program, etc. thanks.

Looking for a new lens but I was curious as to how often I use longer focal lengths. Aube I don’t use long focal lengths very often.

All my pics are in Bridge

Will probably start using Lightroom soon.

Have access to affinity, on 1 and DXO

Can any of these return pics ( number of pics) with certain focal lengths (200 mm for example) or, better, range of focal lengths (120-200 mm for example)?

Thanks

I am a serious, competent hobbyist, not a professional. Mainly landscape, Architectural stuff ( castles, buildings, etc), some family, some wildlife, some flowers but no sports.

I bought the above Sony camera with the kit lens, 18-50 mm. I bought this mainly to get a lighter camera than my Nikon D300 w 18-200 mm zoom. Also wanted to try something new, get live view, etc

I am trying to keep things light and easy to deal with and am considering the 18-200 mm Sony lens. Makes life simple, no issues with changing lenses, relatively light. Kit lens sort of wasted though.

Would consider other lens options to keep things light and get more extension at the far end.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Lens does not have to be Sony but I want no loss of Sony functionality, no “gotchas”, no incompatibilities.

Thanks for suggestions.

Another way to try it out is to get some pvc pipe at a hardware store and build a box/framework. Cover with thin cloth or paper and light from above/ side. Construction paper or similar can provide a seamless background. Works well and breaks down with minimal space requirements at that point

There are multiple units (many cheaper) than the Vello that certainly look to have very same/similar
functionality.

Neewer and Godox as examples

Are these the same as the Vello (repackaged) or even cheaper copies?

I don't mind the extra cost if the product (Vello) is a superior product but see no reason to pay extra for essentially the same product.

Thanks

Got the Sony A6400.

Will be used for still photography only, not movies. No sports or moving birds.

The choices for memory cards are bewilderingly complicated but it appears that (as an example)

SanDisk - Extreme PRO 64GB SDXC UHS-I Memory Card for $25.00 at BB would be more than adequate for still photos and even 4k movies.

I am willing to spend more if necessary but don't want to for no reason.

Do folks agree this card would be up to snuff?

Thanks

Read the story about the photos taken when Oswald was shot. Probably on the internet somewhere.

Two photographers, inches from each other, photos taken with a few milliseconds of each other.

One is world famous and one the Pulitzer Prize. Looks on the faces. The sheriff with the big hat, etc ( died recently I think)

Other one is interesting.

That what I was hoping for but can’t find one. Cable is not that much cheaper than the intervalomter so new one may be in order
