It either has or will require a Lazy Susan" or some sort of a railroad type turntable.

Is the 105mm the newer "VR" version? I'm interested in the SB800 as well.

I have decided to sell off all my Nikon equipment. Changed to mirrorless.
All equipment is in pretty much like new condition. I have estimated the used price for each and listed it below.
D3200 camera body $350
12-24 f4 zoom $1100
24-120 f3.5-5.6 zoom $200
80-200 f2.8 zoom $500
55-200 f4 zoom $250
18-55 f3.5-5.6 zoom $75
28 f2.8 $250
35 f 2 $275
60 f2.8 micro $250
85 f1.8 $450
105 f2.8 micro $550
SB 800 flash $150

I also have a beautiful (and very heavy) Zone VI ash wood tripod. A heavy canvas carry case comes with it. This thing is quite a production so only the really serious photographer should consider it. It is a great tripod and is worth the effort
to use it.
If you are interested in my stuff I can send photos of the various lenses and so on so you can see for yourself. I am in the Atlanta area, so if that is not too far we could meet for "show and tell".
I have included some "sample" photos. The first is with the 12-24 zoom and the second with the 24-120 zoom, the third is with the 85 mm.

I set my camera to Manual, and it wouldn't shoot, so then I set it to A for F/11 and then set shutter to 1/250 sec. ISO was set for 200. Again the camera changed the shutter setting. First shot is out of camera, but cropped, no other processing.

The 2nd one is processed with Kodak Photo Gallery, slightly sharpened.

How'd I do?

Great job! You must have been closer (ha, ha). Much better than mine with f9, 200 ISO on a 300mm 2.8D. My 2X was not working as expected, but the 70-300mm worked fairly well also.

One similar Super Moon and my only eerie ones. Wish I had included some other objects for size comparisons.

From what I am gathering, the lens produces pictures that are quite soft at any range. Perhaps they are tinkering and trying to address some of the reservations that are now being brought up by Nikon users. They have a lot of great press, but waited (too) long enough for some complaints to arise.

Nice work! I too enjoy taking pictures of daffodils, especially at our local festival. Here are a couple of mine from a couple of years ago.
