Caught the Super Moon rising behind the trees. Shots not the greatest, but I fought the mosquitoes to get these so here they are. Downloads provided.

Very nice. This is the largest moon we will see in 2014.

I caught a few of the Super moon also despite the cloudiness we experienced in my area. No mosquitos never have a problem with them here.

It was super in that it was close. From my position it was simply a big boring yellowish circular mass. I was hoping for the eerie wisp of a cloud or witch on the boom but alas Zzzz. In addition I only have 70-300 yes than great lens. Nothing to write home about

The way you caught the tree in the moon shot gives a special feel to the shot. Most would have not had the creativity to do this. Frame it and hang it.

Yep, the one with the branches is the best one. Gives some prospective.

You still got some nice definition Pithydoug, these night time shots are always a challenge I'm thinking. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks, the first pic I took of the night with it in the branches like yours was way to dark. I was using a different lens. I really like the frame in, you used in yours.

Nice shots, Jim. The first one with the branches is a real winner.
