As always, your comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome!

Absolutely gorgeous set of photos. Love the ambiance, the colors...everything! And also very interesting to peruse.

If the top one were mine, I'd straighten out the lines and sharpen it a bit more.

I hope you don't mind my taking a stab at it.

Thank you! Personally, I think the picture is quite grotesque.

Please let me know if I downloaded the photo of Petey correctly.

I like this photo very much, but I have a question. Obviously the couple is what you want the viewer to focus on. But if everything in the image is given the same attention as far as lighting and the length of the picture with so many objects displayed, how does the couple become the focus of attention?

For me, minimalism always has some sort of "architectural" feel, so my choice is "Pigeon."

If the photo were mine, I'd lighten the eye very slightly and make is sharper.

Good luck.

I am not keen on insect photos but this B&W is beautiful. If it were my photo, I'd gaussian blur out the flower, which I find distracting.

Picture perfect! Any descendents of Mark Twain' jumping frog living there?

My Polish grandmother's 2 brothers ended up in Buenos Aires. Unfortunately, my grandparents were not allowed in. They had to go to the Dominican Republic, which is, in itself, a story. But that's where my Polish mother and German father met. I, myself, spent my first 5 years in the D.R. before the U.S. allowed us in. In the 1940s and early 1950s, the State Department was filled with many anti-Semites.

Thanks for the photos of the beautiful synagogue.

This is the SOOC shot. Just for fun, consider downloading the shot and editing as you see fit.

Here is my version. I straightened out the lines (as best as I could), brightened 2 of the kids, and deleted what I didn't want. Hope you like it.
