Every day, my daughter swings by on lunch hour to take her dog, Nicks, for a walk. Returning, she lets him off the leash when they get within shouting distance. I notice his ears act like a transmission or ailerons. Starting out, they're up for lift off and slowly fold back, shifting in to high when cruising speed is acquired.

He’s a very well behaved dog who adores his mama. Thanks for the visit!

Dear raymondh... From your comments such as ailerons and cruising speed, may I infer that you are a pilot? I love dogs too. The first thing I noticed about your images of your daughter and her black dog, is that you make excellent use of depth of field to allow the dog to be sharp as a tack, while the background is out of focus. You must have been shooting at F2.8 or maybe F4. Anyhoo, I enjoyed your images and short story. I wish you lived closer so that we could be "photo buddies." Early Easter morning this little Black Capped Chickadee showed up at my bird feeder in my back yard. I put down my Folgers and fired up my Sony RX104 and captured him though the kitchen window for all time. Ain't photography great! Shooter41 (Don Marler in Wichita, Kansas)
