I've had one for several years on my D7200. Easy setup and works great. For night moon shots etc you can trigger mirror up and then take shot. Receiver mounts on flash mount and plugs into designated port on camera. Turn it on. Turn on remote and they should automatically connect on the default signal setting which can be changed if conflicting with other devices. Don't mean to be a smart a**, but did you read the setup instruction?

Those are some bad boys with a really aggressive bad attitude. We had them all over the place where I grew up in Eastern NC.

If you are not using a UPS, then I would recommend that you purchase a good one that is rated to handle what you will be connecting to it. Many have a "Battery" side and a surge side. Forget the power strip or brick you are using as it may have a defect that hasn't affected your computers yet. I've had clients that had computers that were doing all sorts of strange things. Replaced the power/surge strip and all problems disappeared. A good UPS will protect your systems from surge, but also from brown outs. Most homes are more likely to suffer frequently from brown outs than surges. Brown outs are when there is a drop in power, but not enough for you to see it. This can actually be more difficult for electronics because the transistors, capacitors and other components will overheat trying to compensate. With the UPS, the power on the battery side is actually flowing through it and its compensating electronics to keep the power going to your systems at a constant power level. If you have a laser printer of any type, do NOT connect it to the battery side of the UPS. The high wattage need of the laser to heat the fusing element will damage the battery side of the UPS. You can also buy a very inexpensive outlet checking device at most hardware big box stores that you just plug into the outlet and it tells you if there are any wiring issues with that outlet. If it detects any, then you should get a licensed electrician to come and check to see where the problem lies for your safety.

I was always taught to not bring it from the actual corner where two edges meet, but from the lower or upper quadrant.

Samsung RAW files are in the dng format so that is what it is programmed to recognize. You would have to find a codec for the Samsung that will read nef files. I'm not sure that they even make codecs for phones since I've never searched for any. I know that Nikon has a codec download for Windows, so you may want to look there first to see if they have one for smart phones.

EDIT: They sell only one size at a time, but for $3.99, I get free shipping from China. I'll have to measure the ones on the mic and order that size.

I wonder if these are intended for human beings.

I thought it was going into photoshop as a plug in but I can’t find it. Thank you for your help

Try looking under Filters in PS. When you install PS, it should automatically download and install Camera RAW. Same thing with LR and the other Adobe apps that use it.

If you are using Lightroom Classic, not the browser based version, you can actually have it create and locate the catalog(s) anywhere you choose. I suggest that you create a folder with a name like LRCatalogs so you can easily locate it. As for the catalog, it is merely a database that stores information about the photo files you "import" into it. You can download your files into any folder(s) you wish so that you know and understand your filing system. You then use the Import function to import the info such as name, file type, location, meta data etc, into the the LR catalog (database), not the actual files themselves. Then as you work on the files you are actually recording your selections into the catalog and not actually making any change to the actual file. This is why it is important to make and keep backup copies of your catalog(s) in case one is damaged so it can be restored. LR gives you an option to do this when you close it unless you tell it not to. If you lose one or it gets damaged, then all of the selections for those files are lost, but not the actual files. You can have more than one catalog as well. Let's say you have your files arranged by seasons of the year and the year itself such as Spring 2022, Summer 2022 for example. You can create a separate catalog for each so that you just open that catalog for whichever "season" you want to work on. This keeps the catalogs smaller and less crowded with the work you've done. You can be in as much control of what LR does as you choose to be when it comes to organization. When you are satisfied with what you have done with selection for a file and you want to save it as a separate file, you use the Export function to create a new file comprised of a copy of the original file with those changes you selected. You will be offered to choose what kind of file format, where to save, what to name it and several other options.

Nikon has a free Codec on their website that you can download and install that will let Windows Photo viewer read them. Easy download install, reboot and you're ready to go.

Based on the comments here, apparently I'm not a photographer. I shoot RAW+JPG all the time. Maybe that means I'm only half a photographer. I have enough other decisions to make on a daily basis, so eliminating this one is a no-brainer. Memory is cheap. Just wish I could upgrade mine.

Follow up to my earlier post on this. I just got my prints today and was not at all happy with them. The UV protection made the canvas texture very pronounced and actually harmed some of the detail. I contacted them and they are reprinting for free without the UV protection. Hopefully, that was the problem because they have given me excellent service and I would hate to have to go elsewhere.
