I live 3 miles from Kodak Park. My brother has worked for Kodak for 37 years, still does. My dad was a physicist for Kodak for 40 years in their "heyday". Monday (Feb. 5), my son started working at Kodak as the electrical engineer for their film division. He said there is such a demand for film they are having trouble keeping up, so he and his department are working to ramp up production. Always been proud to shoot Kodak film, still do.

My dad when I was about 14 years old had a darkroom and I managed to save these.
I'm 85 now. I wonder if there is any value to them.
Reminded me of a a few I had seen in my dad's old oak desk downstairs, sure enough, still there; (no blue tops though.) Some have exposed film still in them from the '50s. I'll have to process them some day soon and see what my brothers and I were up to back then...
Balls in the first are always gray, green, and orange no matter what I do. Had to get a tape measure for the vans, but sure enough, both are 2 inches square. Haven't seen these before, thanks for posting!
So many angles in this photo creating optical illusions, hard to make everything look square and straight.
Zooms allow precise composition which is especially valuable when you are unable to "zoom with your feet". Lens speed is rarely an issue because of stabilization and the ability of modern digital cameras to shoot at high ISO while retaining decent quality, not to mention the denoising programs available.

And why are things always found in the last place you look???
maybe because, once you find it, why keep looking?
Nice photos! Coincidentally, this week, "Looking Up" is the 52 Frames Challenge, next week, it is "Looking Down".
New USA company, starts with quality, USA build, then prices accordingly.
I'll take the 1937 Delahaye, most bodacious fenders ever! Great photos and story, thanks for sharing.
That stop was well worth it, great photo! Reflections and mist really add to the scene.
Love these mystic photos! Been the same here in Rochester the last 3 days.
After totaling one of our cars, our insurance doubled for 3 years.
So, to blend these topics, any hog for trying decaf coffee in their car's wiper washer jug? FYI, Union Place Coffee Roasters in Rochester, NY makes a very good, Swiss water decaf I've been drinking lately. It's called Decaf Dark Roast Expresso. Switched over to it because caffeine tends to give me migraine headaches. Switched my wife to the decaf with the morning coffee I make us every day, and, except for the first few days when she felt unusually tired throughout the day (coming down off the caffeine!), she never noticed the change.
Even without knowing what "fair price" means, I'd pass on it. So many iterations of Nikon cameras have been introduced since the D800. As has been mentioned, even the D810 is much better. My D750 has a built-in flash and articulating screen, weighs 10 oz. less. Look for a different Nikon at a "fair price", there are plenty out there.
