Rather than cartoons this Sunday, I thought I'd show a bunch of these. With comments as needed.
Cheers!

NOTHING is moving.
NOTHING is moving....

The vans are the same size.

Lock your eyes on the center. Do you see the green dot?

The plate illusion is so cool, I've seen it before, still get a kick out of it. 😊

The two van thing applies to me every day. One eye (used to be) 20-20 and the other 20-200. Glasses would correct the nearsighted eye and with glasses on I actually had depth perception like other folks. I haven’t worn glasses in probably decades yet I still have depth perception because our brain is able to judge distance by comparing the size of objects in relationship to other objects. The same with a coworker that lost one eye. Our brains are able to compensate for the lack of stereoscopic information provided by the other eye by comparing the size differential.

The human brain is a truly unique organ!

We see what we want to, until we alter our perception.

For the plate illusion, what is weird (for me at least) is that it REALLY worked, but only once. From now on I never see the illusion. I wonder if that is the same for others.

If you keep staring at the magenta + green dot illusion, the magenta dots disappear completely and all you see is the moving green one.

Funny I felt the same way the first time I saw it, but time seems to reset your brain, and even though you know what it is, it still works at first.....it's still cool

I saw the green dot. Does that prove I'm a genius?

I think it means you are not red-green color blind.
