I absolutely love my Canon Rebel T3i i got for Christmas........ the lens it comes with is "ok" but It doesn't have the zoom I would love to have..... any suggestions on an affordable lens for a first time lens purchaser???? I just changed from point and shoot to DSL..... I look at a lot on line but don't have the knowledge to find what I am looking for. I would like for it to be versatile enough that I can keep it on the camera most of the time.... if that makes sense..... and I really don't want one that is really big and bulky.... I would appreciate some help from this group......... I read this every day ...... I save all of the e-mails because I find out super good info every day. Thanks

I have had a point and shoot for so many years.... I know the very, very, very, basics on Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO..... but want to take advantage and learn as much as I can ............ I have had a camera of some kind in my hand since I was a child and got a "toy" one.... Thanks for any input.............

I am new to the site. Have taken pictures since the Polaroid was out.... probably had a toy camera as a child..... Went to a Photography class recently for 5 weeks. Learned enough to just get my feet wet .... I still have a point and shoot - Sony H20. Been looking at all kinds of new slr cameras but really have concerns as to my motive in buying such expensive equipment when I don't know how much I plan to pursue it...... Yuma AZ - I was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station ....... for 2 years (long ago) ........... I like the pic...... don't see the story .... but as the photographer - You are the Artist........ and with that said..... it's very cool.....

Blytheville - is in Arkansas..... And I am still contemplating getting a new camera. I have a Sony H20 (which is about 2 years old and was told it is the closest to a SLR without being one) I wanted something I could carry on a belt loop or something easy to throw in my purse. I am a member of a car club so we go to classic car shows. You should check out the website.... www.TampaKnightsCarClub.com - the majority of the pictures I took on my Sony...... (I am not the only one who takes the pics so you may see some that are not mine). I took a Photography class for 5 weeks and am really torn as to the question of - should I purchase another camera .... or stay with this one ...... It really is a great camera and serves it's purpose for me. I really have enjoyed this website..... This car belongs to hubby and me.....
