Great shots, Bozsik. Are these from the walking trail or the drive?

Hi Hibler,
The preferences setting determines the the file format for resize. If you want to export as psd, select Photoshop under File Type in the export panel on the right side of the display.

Would you buy a refurbished again?

I know your question was to scphoto, but I will say I usually buy used or refurbished. Never had a problem. I'm currently looking for a D500. MPB has 4 used, from excellent to like new condition, $1299-$1359. I'm looking at trading some Canon gear for one. I've dealt with MPB before and they are great.

Sorry, D500 is available refurbished for $1350.

Where do you see the D500 refurbished for $1350.00? What I'm seeing on Nikon Refurbished website is $1699.96 refurbished.

Very nice capture!

I feel as you do and have my cameras set the same way. I also love the C1 & C2 modes, to quickly switch to a specific setup.

Very nice photo.

OK. No one's yet guessed the feature I was surprised to be missing from my mountain view photo shot with this amazing EF L lens. The following picture was shot with my heretofore favorite telephoto on my succession of used Canons. It displays the feature I expected with any EF telephoto lens - based both on my limited experience and on conversations I've read on this board. But expecting it, I left myself cropping space.

Details: Shot on EOS 60D using Landscape Mode, f/8, 1/400, ISO-100, 142mm - Tamron 18-270 F/3.5-6.3
This compact tele will still be with me on lots of occasions!

Hi Bob,

I understand the zone concept, but I have no clue as to how to actually use it.

[spot metering on the brightest part of the scene, then exposure added to place that part in the appropriate Zone.]

So the meter would interpret this as middle grey, and you would then add 3 or 4 stops of EC to place it in zone 8 or 9?

I use it and am very happy with it. If you qualify, you can get a significant discount.

Hoping some of you might give your advice/opinions on ON1....I currently use LR/PS ($10 per mo), however, mostly LR, as I am not very proficient in PS. ON1 has caught my eye (looks very user friendly) and they have a promo through tomorrow.

Curious to hear what you all think.

Thank you!

I tried posting this picture yesterday but had problems. Apparently, someone out there doesn't want this new discovery to get out.

Good Evening,
Maybe a little help here. I am and have been having problems using the Canon Connect software. I am not unfamiliar with phones and software. Hence “ When all else fails... Read the Directions!!”
1. Camera does not show up on the phone in WiFi. (iPhone ) After much profanity and finagling turning on and off the phone and camera (Canon 80D ) sometimes it will show up and connect. It will work okay at that point.
2. Then if anything goes into sleep mode regaining connectivity is a virtual nightmare thus more profanity.
Q: has anyone had similar issue with this feature? It seems to me that this should be a fairly simple task.
Maybe someone has discovered a common flaw on this Model or common user error to explain the issue.
Thanx for any suggestions
Pat

I had the same issue when I first tried using it. I was about to give up, then discovered if I turn off cellular data, it works flawlessly. I use Android, but I'm sure you can do the same on iPhone.

The answer you are seeking cannot be answered using the subject matter you have chosen and you are asking the wrong question in the first place. If you want to learn something about how your camera responds to different metering modes in a controlled manner, the fact that your experiment yielded similar results is misleading.

Please look at my exchange above with BebuLamar from its beginning and you will learn how to more easily obtain usable data that will show you what to do to determine the correct metering mode to use in the "real world" for your camera.

It was not my question. I simply submitted 3 shots based on the parameters outlined in the OP's original post.
