Gestation period for humans normally 9 months. How long for trees?
I have suspected for years that tree seedlings are born and do not come from acorns, etc. This Chestnut Oak proves my theory.
I am on standby now for my Nobel Prize or any other awards coming from the scientific community. To whom it may concern: Yes, I will accept cash.
Preferably gold coin.
I tried posting this picture yesterday but had problems. Apparently, someone out there doesn't want this new discovery to get out.
.
The proof is in the photo, science has been corrected.
And storks bring babies! :)
She could show a little more buttress.
I bet all the guys bark at her.
I wonder if she likes sappy guys.
Where is she from? I want to put a ring on it.
What's her number? I'm interested. I know humans and trees don't usually get together but I've had a long relationship with a palm tree.
Sorry for the acorny tree puns.
Don't hold your breath on receiving any awards. The naysayers will come out of the wood with all types of claims you are wrong wrong wrong. They do not want to upset the norm.
I know there are lots of "Pregnant Tree" deniers out there. However, IRJim is a believer since he's apparently having an affair with a palm tree.
Also, a lot of "Tree Huggers" would agree with me. Yeah, I guess I will have to wait till I get to Heaven to get any rewards for trying to get the truth out there.
I just hope that this baby Chestnut Oak is not born on Halloween. If it is, I'm sure that a "Devil's Walking Stick" and a "Witch Hazel" will try to take it for some sort of sacrifice. I'm also sure that "Old Hickory" and "General Sherman Sequoia" will have troops on standby to keep that from happening.
There's a black helicopter landing my front yard. I need to go. It's probably the Nobel Prize people. I may not have to wait till heaven after all.
I see a lioness on the bottom!!! Like looking at clouds?

Maybe she hooked up with this guy?
Yep. Apparently, from the looks of him he stays ready all the time. I notice that the ground around the trunk has been really hot recently. Another clue.
Is he a Redwood? If so, with her being a Chestnut Oak, I bet that's where the Red Oak comes from. Red"Wood" would especially apply to him.
