I very seldom shoot at eye level on a tripod and at 6-2 am usually on my knee or a seated position. Many people shoot at eye level only and would benefit getting lower to the ground.

Why would one shoot at eye level?

Do a search for Arsenal and you will come up with numerous topics on this device. Personally I have not used it and would rather depend on myself setting the camera and during a cable release or remote to trigger the shutter.

If you get a new lens now for your Nikon, you can always use it on any Nikon you upgrade to in the future. Get the lens.

You may be able to use it however using a DX of a FX body will create issues. If full frame is in your future get FX lens. Glass is your biggest investment.

As far as the 3400 goes it should do fine for you. If you are looking to upgrade nice condition D800's and up are now around 900. I got mine for that with a little over 10k shutter count. Not bad for a rig that cost around 3k new.

Google maps will be better to fully research the area than a handful of replies from people who may like things you would not care for. I make my own plans and never ask anyone where to go. Much more of an experience that way. I see these topics here daily and I have to wonder why?

I use a Vanguard tripod and in fact just bought a new ballhead for it. The ball head that came with it was not arca-swiss compatible and I could not use my L-bracket until replaced. It is Vanguard also. A top quality product mid priced.

I believe that when a photo is posted here it becomes subject to critique, whether the OP asks for it or not. Since criticism is adverse in nature, it’s not necessary to point out that a criticism is rude. Offer praise when it’s merited but don’t avoid criticism when it’s not. It would also help if OP's would ask for input if that’s their goal for posting.

Just because I post an image does not mean I am looking for criticism from people whose experience in giving critical analysis can be questioned. Some people just want to share and are happy with that.

Most are based on personal preference the same as judged contests. If not asked for do not give and if asked for do so offering what you like about an image and what you don't.

The extra $32 really is a good idea as the newer electric cars, by virtue of not using gas, avoid paying taxes for road maintenance. BTW, the gas taxes likely go to other Dept of Transportation projects besides road maintenance.

Really? Tax everyone even if the use gas? Me thinks I see why they get away with it.

This is why location tags should not be used. If you find paradise best keep it to yourself.

Your driveway smokes? Or the driver? If the driver where is his mount located? I will agree that FedEx has horrible delivery service and their policy of leaving it outside in the weather is just wrong.

I don't understand your comment but I understand the rubbish in this article. The C*****e C****e crowd and the H**e America crowd have floated another bad science hypothesis that fits in with their narrative.

This is all built on the premise that small changes in carbon dioxide in our atmosphere Causes c*****e c****e. Carbon dioxide makes up .04 percent of our atmosphere. Nitrogen makes up about 80 percent and Oxygen the rest. Give me a break by saying that a few parts per million of a gas that only contributes .04 percent can cause c*****e c****e.

And they seem to be having glee in having found another bad genocide event that can be saddled to w***e a******n civilization while at the same time bolstering theories of c*****e c****e. A two-fer.

I like to know where people are from online or in person. Interesting to talk about the difference between places especially in a photography venue.

Love the grumpy snipers and borderline troll like comments from some on here. The self appointed hall monitors of the forum who snipe away and attack. Really how old are you guys anyway? Best off to not reply at all and just move on.
