The top two were taken about an hour after dawn about 10 minutes apart on the Esplanade overlooking the East River. The very dense fog lessened to dense in that time.

I had to do something at the Apple store which is in Grand Central Station. The bottom photo was taken at 11 AM on a Thursday morning, a busy time of the day in one of the busiest railroad stations in the United States.

Nice pictures. If I may next time you are in Grand Central, take a picture of the ceiling.

To me, I think your pictures have a leg up. How can they determine the 2021 winners when it's only March?

Troll much? Are are you a camera sales person or a photographer?
The D500 is a professional piece of kit... the others you listed are prosumer products...

Here is what Nikon cameras REAL photographers are currently using...

If this is the current level of your photographic expertise moosus maybe rethink photography as a vocation...

What a piece of work. A little bit of an overreaction.

I will be in Chicago for a workshop on black and white photography.
I was born on the Northside and spent no time on the Southside.
I am looking for recommendations on what to shoot during the
week I am there. Thanks.

"What to shoot" in Chicago is a sketchy use of words for Chicago.

Huh? I don't understand. Those bulbs on the tree do not light up. At night the only source of light would be the sodium light in the back ground.

If I recall correctly, I used a fill flash to help light up the tree.

I thought there were lights also.

I have the image for next year's Christmas card.

A night picture would also look good.

You're very welcome, Dennis. I followed the research regarding Keller and Gagnon. I found that quite interesting. A good acquaintance of mine was in the second wave to land on Iwo. He also spent a good deal of his later life debunking "legends" regarding the USMC. He was quite a nice, quiet, and humble individual.

Why would he be interested in "debunking legends".

Since mirrorless cameras are not as battery friendly as a DSLR, I wouldn't enable the image review option unless you have a real need to look at every image.

There is a menu option to display the shot afterwards. There’s also the little button up near the viewfinder that selects viewfinder, rear screen, or auto...but if you can see the image pre-exposure on the LCD the latter isn’t it. Without knowing which model it’s hard to tell the exact menu selection...

Thanks. I will, open my eyes and give it another look.
