Be very careful where or who buy equipment from. If a deal is too good to be true, it probably is. Both Abes of Maine and 42 street are not an authorized camera dealer for my brand which is Sony. Make sure that you will be covered under a warranty and that you can get any software updates that should be available to you.

I have it in the most recent version of PS along with the new and improved Gradient tool and it works fine for me. In the tool bar the tool can be imbedded in a group of tools. If you see a small arow in the lower right corner of the icon, then there are more tools there. Just right click on the tool and the remaining tools will appear for you to select. If it is not in your tool bar you can go into the tool bar edit by just right clicking on the three dots at the bottom of the tool bar and select the edit tool bar option. The items on the left are the tools that are available in the tool bar. The ones on the right are not. If the tool is on the right just drag it to the place in the tool bar where you want it to appear. Select done when you complete the tool bar edit.

I was at my aunt and uncle's beach house on Long Island. We watched in on a B&W TV in a small living room. You probably have more computing power that you can hold in your hand than they did on that flight.

I need help with profiles in Lightroom Classic. I have been taking a lot of infrared pictures lately with a conversion done by Kolari. In the Develop Module, the lowest level on the temprature slider is 2000. But temperatures of -50 or -100 are best for IR, before sending them to Photoshop. I made profiles with the DNG editor so as to be able to reduce the temperature to these levels. I can see the profiles in LRC, and when I click on either of them the frame surrounding them lights up, so they appear to be selected. But when I close the profile browser, the profiles do not work. The lowest I can get is still 2000, the same as when I do not select a lower profile. Does anyone have any advice for making the profiles work as they should? Many thanks in advance.

I've been having a similar issue with profiles in ACR. When I create a LUT and try to create a profile from that LUT I get an error message that it can't complete the task. I think that there may be an issue with the most recent release.

My son needs Wi-Fi to go on the Web with his phone. I've never had that problem with any phone, but he's had that with his last two - Samsung and Motorola. I've looked at his phone, and I don't see a setting I can change to let his phone receive data. All he can do with his phone is make phone calls, but that seems like an odd complaint to make about a phone. 😊

Any ideas?

I had problems with my cell where you would lose connection in the middle of a conversation. I called Verizon and complained that we were a customer of 18 years and were thinking of changing to another service provider. They sent us a device that plugs into a wall outlet and must be connected to your router with a lan line. Well, it works and we haven't had a problem in over a month.

The FBI can look at 7 layers of past data. If they can do that then others read some layers also. Maybe not what the FBI can do but don't bet on it. Drill a hole, dirll a screw in it or take a nail and and bang it in and hammer the hell out of it.

You could inadvertently remove a good photo in the field as well as waste time and battery life. I don't delete anything from the card until I have them loaded into my home computer imported into LR and backup. At that point I have enough duplicity to remove photos from the card which I do by reformatting the card.

I do recall, reading or hearing, that you shouldn't format the card in a card reader attached to your system but should rather do it in camera.

The ceiling was restored over 20 years ago. I remember taken note of the progress each day when I went through the terminal. They had a special scaffolding that would move from east to west or the other way to allow work on different parts. The difference was drastic. Before you couldn't recognize the constellations while after it was easy to see. The restoration cost was paid for with a $26 million donation from Jackie Kennedy estate.

I at one time used PSE and would update it once every few years. I couldn't see paying $600 for the full version of PS. I bought a new camera that came out after the software version was published and it wouldn't read the files because it couldn't determine the camera make and model. I either had to pay for an upgrade for between $85 and $100 for just Elements which after a year I would have to pay for another upgrade.

I chose to go for the subscription at $10 a month and get a full blown version of PS and also get Lightroom along with it. Now I get all of the updates when they are available and don't worry about equipment compatibility with the software.

The point is that either way Adobe like all other software companies are going to make money on their products. They are in the business of making money. The smart thing that Adobe did was to make it so inexpensive at $10 a month that they have a lot of subscribers. If it were $20 how many of the subscription customers would they maintain?
It works for them and it works for me. to others it might not work so much and that is OK.
