It really is grand, and filled with photo ops. There are hallways to explore, and the grand concourse, of course (sorry) with its magnificent ceiling. Several years ago I was in a NYC workshop which included a tour of GCS. I still shoot there from time to time.
There’s an Apple Store right in the station, an easy bus and train ride for me. I had to drop my laptop off for a repair, and decided to play with higher ISOs and slow shutters while I was there. I used my Sony RX100vi, which was under discussion a couple of times this last week. Adjustments were done first in LR, then in PS, but the only denoise program used was in LR.
#1 f2.5 1600 ISO 1/125
#2 f2.5 4000 ISO 1/125
#3 f11. 320 ISO 1 sec
#4 f8. 320.ISO. 0.5 sec
With #4, which was heavily cropped, I used the quick selection tool and had PS find the subjects. I then lightened those subjects, just because I felt like it.

Nice series. It reminds me of 30th ST. Station in Philadelphia.
I seen that staircase in #3 & #4 in movies.
Been there a few times in my younger years. A beautiful building, but my God, it can get crowded!

When I was in New Mexico, more than 15 people to an acre was a crowd in some areas.
Another demonstration of your good eye for such photography, David!

Brings back memories from my childhood. Thanks.
Very nice shots David. I haven't been there in years, and there were a lot more people the last time I was there.

It was the middle of the morning. Still, though, even the commuting crowds are diminished.
During the 20 plus years I commuted through Grand Central I was too rushed to notice any details.
You've captured its beauty very nicely.
Thanks for posting
I like this photo as some of the people are moving- slight blur. Nice work
