You could always bring a usb card reader and a portable usb powered external drive and use a hotel computer or stop in an Internet cafe.
Multiple cards are probably the way to go.

Put your operating system on a ssd. You can use another larger drive to store media or whatever if you need it. Without an ssd your computer is limited.

It's the easiest way to increase performance. You can even take your drive with you to the next computer.

No brainer. The main thing is to have your operating system installed on the ssd.

I guess it is more about what it will do. If you have $4000 to spend on camera bodies why not get a 5ds and for video get a c series.

How much better is a 5dmkii vs a 5dmkiii at taking pictures. Not that much in my opinion.
Do you really need a 50mp camera?

Just out of curiosity why not a gaming monitor?
I am guessing refresh rate and latency is not important for photo viewing.

I take friends out to shoot and a lot of the time they are afraid to take a lot of pictures. With adobe bridge it is easy to rate 300 pictures I'm a sitting.

"Spray it down. " Learn from the mistakes.

You have to wake up pretty early in the morning to get something this group has not talked to death. Lol
I thought I had something no one had seen before so I rushed to post. I will use the search in the future.

I guess what I really want is a smoother time lapse.
Thanks for posting

This is perfect to make a card. Put in a little more thought and execution of course.
Print it out and send it to someone. I use a pixma pro 100 and send out cards all the time. Gives me an excuse to work on ps. I can also re contextualize a lot of the photos I like but are not gallery material. It is fun and you can put in as much or as little work as you want.

1st you are a photographer, you speak through your pictures. Bam! Writing skills are a lost art. just go on twitter for 5 minutes. Your writing is just fine
2nd Great shots in so many ways. It reeks of professionalism. I would hang it on my wall.
3rd I am going to Alaska eventually. Please walk me through what you mean by Fine art photography. Did you take a picture of a picture? Please take us through your process. Was it planned? Focus stacked? Retouching? a one off?

Any insight would be great.

Thanks

I saw this on facebook. It supposedly maximizes your DSLR in the way a smartphones does only with all the features of a DSLR. I believe the reason smartphone pictures are as good as they are is more because of the software than the actual camera or lens.
Full auto on a DSLR seems to be missing. Looks like a great camera accessory.

The promo says all the right things.
Looks like you can get a preorder?
I think they are still working on a final product.

Please let me know what you think.

Do cameras format in fat 32 or ntsf?
I know a pc can do both.
Apple is fond of the fat 32 format.

The moon is not an easy subject.
Probably a mirrorless would be easier.
At over 600mm the moon will move through your frame in about 1 minute.

Underexposed 3 stops and pray.

Cs6 was heavily pirated. Turn off auto updates if so. I use cs6 and like owning the software. Cloud based is good until it's not.
Worth the risk. I like getting stuff used you save so much money. Just be prepared as about 10% of the time things don't work out.

I have 5dmkii and have used crop sensor lenses.
To get the most from the camera prime lenses really show the difference. I worked my way through the zoom lenses to get the range and am now working in prime lenses. 100mm 2.8l really showed me what that camera can do.

I use a t2i for a lot and in most cases it is enough camera for me. It is actually better if you are ripping off a ton of pictures. Using the 5dmkii, proper lighting, prime lense, composition and post processing is the only way that a significant improvement will be noticed.

Bottom line to use the 5dmkii and have an improvement over the t4i will require effort.

Desktops are the way to go. Specs look good.
I would add another hd for extra storage. Run your os on the ssd and add a 7200 rpm drive for backup. 4tb will cost less $100.
