I can’t decide. I’m drawn to it, but I’m not sure I’ve done all I can to make it worth keeping.

Any comments/suggestions/critiques you may have are welcomed.

Thanks,
Dana

I can't really see it, but that is not what matters, YOU are drawn to it, so you like it, and THAT's what matters! So I say, KEEP IT!

Against a blurred coarse branchary, the sharp twiggery sends a message sends a message about the 'delicate' surviving the 'rugged' world. Just my imagination.

Quite eye catching. One of those oddities that would look nice printed up big.

Letting PSE do its thing, then employing adjust layer/equalize slider to about 30% gives this.

Does this help?

I think the subtlety of the background works better against the sharp thorns than does Fred's rework. Agree with Kuzano that it might make a very interesting large print. Agree with speters that your decision shouldn't be influenced by us

Thanks for the adjustment. It looks good, but I like the “plain” colors of what I’ve got. I even thought about B&W, but liked subtle color better.

Thank you for your input. I do appreciate it!

Thank you. I think I will keep it, and may have it printed at 12x18.

Thanks, Linda. I agree. I’m going to have it printed and see how it looks.

Have three glasses of wine and relook at it. I think you will like it even better.

If you like it, then it is worth keeping

Lets rule this shot as a test seeing how the Bokeh isn't very pleasing to the eye.

Sometimes I have to ask myself... is this shot worth throwing away? Not every 'good' shot is worth keeping if it doesn't capture my interest, and not every 'questionable' shot is discarded if I didn't see it with my first looks but come back to it without understanding why.

P.S. Case in point: I don't know why I write this crap.

Its the whimsey of the branches that attracts me. I would suggest a centered square crop, putting more emphasis on that aspect, at the same time, removing the less attractive bokeh far right.
