I tried them once for two items. One was just as advertised and the other did not work.

Why does Nikon have two softwares for processing pictures? Is there a different purpose for each?

The one that costs the most money and is the hardest to learn. Seriously though you need to asks a more reasonable question. Best in what way? Price? Number of features? Best quality output? Easiest to Learn? Compatibility? Support? Training materials? Interface? etc. It is an impossible question to answer. It really comes down to what is best for you.

What is the one that most find easiest to learn?

I would recommend the 50mm and a fill flash.

I agree with using a flash. If there is ant low light shots needed, I would recommend a flash with a guide number of 60 or higher.

I don't know that a cell phone would be better than a DSLR full frame, but I had a Motorola Turbo 2 with a 21 mp camera. I could print the pictures at 8 x 10 and they were great.

I use to use Polarr, but they changed their pricing and locked out my old version, which had costed me $5. I have been using Landscape Pro and testing GIMP and Darktable.

I loaded updated software to my D810 once before and had trouble doing it. Last week I found an update I should load to my camera. I have it on the the memory card for the primary slot, but the camera does not see it, to load it. Any suggestions?

If it is black and white film, it may still be usable. I have used Elford black and white film after it was stored in a freezer for 25 years.

I am retired and on a fixed income, so can't afford to spend much on software. Besides I learned photography with film in the 70s. What one could do in the darkroom is nothing like digital processing. I use Polarr and Landscape pro.

I prefer to use my Nikon D810, however, I had a Motorola Turbo 2 in the past. It had a 21 MP camera and some of the pictures I enlarged to 8x10 were great, no noise.
