If you use Affinity Photo or want to purchase it, "Affinity Revolution" which you can find on YouTube or where ever have a Photo Restoration course. I think it still costs $25.00 and Allie does a good job on explaining and showing how to restore old faded, torn and/or damaged photos. She even included some sample photos for you to work along with her. Give it a try.
Scanner Pro app on your iPhone. Fast, easy to use and god results without any shadow effect .
You can use Printer Pro from Readdle on your iPad and you will need Printer Pro Desktop on your Mac computer. I don't know if this will work with a PC. Works really well for me.
You already have an app on your MAC. Keynote is an excellent app for making collages and does all the tasks you mention. On YouTube a video by Macmost provides some basic instructions. There are probably other videos to guide you. I use this app and it works veery well for my collages.
To rcarol - thanks for checking into this and letting me know.
So I am using Luminar 3. Will this work in a similar way to PS. I am not very proficient in post prosessing so if someone could submit some direction to do this with Luminar, would be very much appreciated.
Any suggestions where I can obtain background textures, either free or at least a reasonable price. I have some from Skylum but not a lot of them are the type I prefer. Some of the textures shown on this topic above are very suitable for my tastes.
What I have done is expose for the sky (or close) and use a fill flash for the subject. This only works when you are close enough to the subject that a flash will do the trick.
Does Steve Perry have a presentation for Canon as well? I shoot a 60D (I know, kinda getting old) but enough horsepower for me. I am using BBF most of the time but not sure if I am always doing it correctly. Anybody else have a good presentation if Steve only does Nikon.
I really concentrated on the BRASS method and yes, my photos are better. I just have to be more conscious of this because I sometimes do get a blurry picture.
If you shoot both RAW and JPEG when you import into Photos, the JPEG version shows up. To use the RAW, double click on the photo to open it, click on the Edit icon to open the Editing Tool bar, the on the top tool bar, click on Image, then Use Raw as Original. Hope I got this correct. It works for me.
I read somewhere that Luminar is a version of Aurora HDR 2017 without the HDR. So I think if you have Aurora 2017 don't need Luminar. Aurora is top notch, easy to use and reasonably priced. Would be interested in comments of Luminar if that is true. I have the CK pak as well and it does everything I need.
I use either "Affinity" or "Pixelmator". Available on the App store and both do a good job. There are instruction videos available on how to do this. Much much less expensive than Photoshop and these are made for a Mac so they work very well.
My big concern os Aperture. Will it work with Sierra because my whole library is there and would be a disaster to lose it? I think I will wait a while to be sure no other issues arise. Bought my iMac on 12/26/2011.
My lens does not indicate STM as yours does. So I guess I just got a cheap or old style lens with the package when I purchased at BestBuy. The package came with a nice camera bag and another battery. At that time little did I know about different type lenses like STM or USM. But I am learning. Thanks
