These are snags from an article named "11 Tips for Incredible Flower Photography for an iPhone." Any idea how the backgrounds are achieved?

Thanks for ideas. (Needless to say, the article did not address these!)

Seems like some very standard portrait backgrounds. The flowers are probably potted.

Yes I did. There were some decent tips along with a helping of novice advice. No discussion of these particular backgrounds, though.

Ok. Guess I'll have to meditate on it.

It looks like some textures have been applied in post processing. So I went to the link and sure enough they did apply textures using an app ‘Mextures’. See tip #10.
Didn’t know about such app before, but looks like something worth trying.

These aren't really what I would call "incredible". We see flower photos here every day that are much nicer.... As has been said, they are standard portrait shots - probably the flowers are being held in place with a clamp. And either a standard background is being used or the background was placed in post-processing.

In post processing you can use texture files (free, buy, make your own). Here is one recent share thread with ideas and instruction: https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-578075-1.html

You can buy backgrounds, or you can add them in post.

Buy a few yards of cloth you like and use that as a backdrop.

Here was my recent first attempt at using textures, inspired by Sandy’ process (UHH handle: lensbaby007).
I was so excited to try it that I used fake ranunculus flowers in a vase. I think it turned out well!
And then I went back to my older pictures...and went to town!!

These are cool! The process can be highly addictive, and there's no end to the looks with each texture file:

change the color, blur the texture, change the blend mode and/or opacity in layers, combine with other textures

Check #10 of the tips, about textures.
Looks to me like that is what has been used for these backgrounds (although I have not tried it out for myself).
