FYI, if youʻre staying at Ko Olina, youʻre on the Leeward side of Oahu - the hotside. You need to travel over the Pali, Likelike, or H-3 highway to get to the lush and verdant Windward side, where all the islands get their most rain.:-). The Koʻolau Mountain range is beautiful to see.
This one quickly caught my attention. But not being a firearm enthusiast--am I really looking down a double barrel (shotgun I assume)?
As to all the discussion on appropriateness, I thought ugly hedgehog was about photograpy/photographic art?
For the last few years, i’ve shot a lot of outrigger Canoe paddling races, just to post on FB. Never considered posting on uhh, why, I don’t know. Here’s an example from this past “paddling season.”
Back in the late ‘60’s, we were able to hike to the very top of the falls; I’ve never seen photos from that perspective, so I think at some point, they stopped allowing that. Any one else remembers-or is age fogging my memory?
Iʻm not very "photo wise," so may I ask how is the 3-D effect achieved in the chipmunk photos?
Funny how I read it, nevertheless, as "dancing ladies" and thatʻs why I opened it to view. The vignette added to the photo to make it more than just a photo.
Like the third. Know the subject is "nude" but the third one intrigues me with the subjectʻs expression, and the way the light falls upon her. The crop refocuses the photo to her expresssion.
Really like the B/W much better, especially #1; I did find the background too distracting in the color photos. All the background items in B/W creates a better focus on the subject matter and adds interest to the photo.
From what I understand, because it's occurring on the equinox, when the earth begins to warm up, earthworms come up from the ground in the evening, this particular superman gets its name.
I never seen the phenomena of the earthworms at night here in Hawaii, but did observe it in my college days in Oregon.
Of the three, the middle one; however, I think of that one, I would prefer cropping out the bottom trash bin, so you just have the trash bags, the bicycle, and one trash bin.
Like these, and the cactus in the 1st photo adds, but for the 2nd photo, found the cactus distracting.
Just saying, but entirely up to your own preferences. I learned from early on to take portraits not "head on"but to have the subjectʻs body angled with their head turned to look at you. Usually turns out to be much more flattering.
Taken 2-11-2019. Older part of Hilo town; yes, that is snow on Mauna Kea (White Mountain) in the background.
Canon SX-50 Enhanced color setting.
