Hello Treepusher, thanks for commenting. My objective is to depict places and people as they are. My image shows these interesting people in their environment (natural habitat?). I can't pick the background and graffiti is an intrinsic aspect of Brick Lane. Also, I can't more than a split second to capture the image as once they see the camera the moment is gone.

Whilst I will try to add impact and drama to an image I won't try to beautify it. As to colour, I had always envisaged this in monochrome, the gentleman on the right was wearing a very brilliant orange T shirt and this totally dominated the picture to the detriment of the other subjects.
