Let's all try to understand that the elected officials in the Congress are direct reflections of those that cast their ballots. If a politician comes off as disagreeable, rude, ignorant of the facts and uneducated then those that elected him can be described with the same adjectives.
What is interesting in the whole mess is that Mitch McConnell secured billions of dollars for his state in the deal while others were left hanging. If the those on the far right want to win they must rid themselves of Mitch McConnell.

AMEN brother
As a non - American with family living in the US, we have looked on this past few weeks with something approaching disbelief and horror and finally revulsion.
I was in the US for the election; Obamacare was about the only point that was consistently discussed in what passes for TV analysis, so no excuse, the whole of the US knew what is was unless there is a large portion of the population that qualifies as deaf and dumb.
The results of the election come in and - Obama won by a larger margin than the TV pundits reckoned. The people spoke (that I believe is democracy?).
We then end up with a re-run over the US budget. The rest of the world looks on powerless as a bunch of die hards decide that they don't want to accept the democratic will of the people. Another fiscal disaster looms.
I don't care about the US system, you have created that for yourselves, but this brinksmanship and partisan stupidity threatens everyone else in the world. I do hope that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan take due note of how the democratic system they are getting works.
Talk about 'do what I say, not what I do'!
just remember that we are a republic not a democracy. when we gave up the direct vote for the convience having representitives doing for us we lost control.
You say Cojones
I say tea bagger
Cojones - Tea Bagger - Cojones
Both are scrotums

I will take issue with that...because what they campaign on is hardly ever what they actually produce.
They wear halos campaigning and horns when in office.
