Had a mate who looked at the obituaries when he was looking for work.
I often heard " Hey Alan, I see Bob Jones has just died. They will be wanting a fork lift driver at Swan Hunters!"

A bit callous but it seemed to work.

I use my Nikkor 24 - 70mm f2.8 as my walk around lens on my D800.

I was a drummer until I had a hip replacement.
Find it too uncomfortable to sit on the stool for long now. An armchair is not very practicable.

Good tutorial Bob.
When you compare the finished image with the original, it is well worth the effort.

This is my second post about this next Windows 10 update but the first one seem to have been missed by many UHH member so here it is again.

The latest Window 10 will be available soon, if you can't wait her is how to get it now:

I have been using the latest version for a week or so now, and I consider it vastly improved, why not try it out for yourself.

Thanks for this John. It's the first I've heard of it.

This post is a milestone for me. It is my 1,000th post. Some went to the attic, some made it. Some were good ones, but didn't make the cut.

As long as we are clear on the payment options…

Always enjoy your posts pipesgt, in fact I look for them.
Congratulations on your 1,000th - keep them coming.

Thanks

rmalarz has the right idea. With vlc player (free download) you can forward the video frame by frame and save the images you desire.

If you are running Windows, use the Snipping Tool (it is part of the Windows Operating System, at least it is in Windows 7).
To find the Snipping Tool, click on START the type "snipping" in the search box.

Edit;

Forgot to add this

Thanks dirtpusher, didn't know this existed - been using "Print Screen" and cropping.

Here is a good tutorial from Picture Correct entitled How to Prepare Your Photos for Printing.
Hope it helps you.

my granddaughter wants to use Nikon 7-200 f.4 with nokon camera 7200 dx camera with fx lens can,t afford fx camera what do you think thanks

Go for it. She will notice a significant difference in quality and sharpness.

I have a D300 and wanted to go full frame but the only FX lens I had was the f1.4 50mm prime. I decided to go for the lenses before I bought the body and once I put the 24 - 70 f2.8 on, it stayed on and became my walk around lens. I followed this with the 70 - 200 f2.8 before I bought my D800.

In my opinion, it is a move in the right direction. As well as the difference in lens quality she will have have the lenses to fit her full frame body when she can afford one.
