Possibly more economical to Buy a 'sale ' item or refurbished 2nd hand.(cleaned and wiped)
Windows is a generic operating system...it needs no special hardware.
Better to decide what you want the PC for.....Predominantly, and get a spec that satisfies that.

Probably more like 'Palm trees with lighthouse. ' The title should reflect in order of prominence or importance within the image (well that is my take)

The Attic keeps the number count up - for the advertisers.
I sometimes get sent to the attic - I don't go voluntarily.

Without the attic - the option would be to delete the post....Censorship...which in a 'free' society should be avoided at all costs.

There is a big difference between what IS law, and what people interpret it as meaning.
When we had books - they were Peer Reviewed. The internet in the main does not do this.
Hence the need to include the URL when quoting an internet reference in a published book. (ie Judge for yourself if it is correct or not).

Wikki is not a reputable source for Higher Education use it with caution!

never had one - not interested in either.
Life is full of potential death...neither of those may be the cause & owning one hasn't a chance of stopping disease or the myriad of other causes for having a short life.

If I take away family - it probably halves the people I am in regular contact with!
When I married, my inlaws were a pain and my wife's siblings were a long way away. But we made infrequent contact, and for a few days of the year it was mainly pleasant. On divorce my children moved with my ex wife and are now far away - but we keep in contact through social media. My present wife has children from two previous relationships. I didn't want to be called a step Dad - they didn't want a 'new' Dad so they got a George instead. I see my Brothers and their families at weddings and funerals....

I don't understand the 'friend' situation - to me its something young children have at school etc and SOME keep in contact for the rest of their lives....mine never did. Family seems to be a contentious issue at the best of times. Generally 'someone' wants to be in control.....not being a control freak....it is not going to be me.

I am ODD only to those who have a large number of frequent, regular contacts...I have less than ten on facebook (including 'family'.) I just think I have little need to a) discuss my life with others or b) discuss their life!

There are, only three degrees of separation between most people. People you 'have heard of - or recognize,' turn up with unnerving frequency in the most obscure places. Acquaintances is a wonderful word.

Family can be a transient thing.... by choice or circumstance. There isn't a 'Normal'. Each is different in the short or long term.

Be yourself and stop worrying about the rights and wrongs of others. Help when required and 'leave alone' when not needed. Life is too short to be 'involved' with the mundane of others.

have fun - with whoever you happen to be with

As a character designer you are working in graphic design. Your aim is to portray emotional triggers so that people can associate 'goodies and baddie's at a glance.
In photography we also use emotional triggers - but they are more subtle. Composition, Negative space, leading lines etc. The use of colour or the blurring of boundaries.

You, no doubt spent quite a while studying Character Design. It didn't just come complete 'in a box'. Photography doesn't either. Photography is about finding your own particular niche or subject - then researching how best to create the images 'as you want to portray them '. Yes you can also learn how to take better images in general too. As a graphic designer you probably have a head start in how to post process, fix, add and remove unwanted clutter - use those skills!!!
Contrary to popular belief - no one is born an artist (its a general excuse for those who haven't learned the skills) No one is born a great Photographer it is also a learned skill.

Explore what 'fusion' of reality, photography and Characterization made Disney great....he used real actors and actresses and then redrew them into his characters. He used cinifilm of dancers to 'create' the movements so that the drawn image 'moved' correctly. Explore how a camera can help you 'do what you do' better. Most have video...

Do not be put off photography by your peers - or intimidated by your Teachers. When you go out 'photographing' it is generally a solo occupation - you get time to contemplate away from the hub-bub of work. That in itself can be a reason (Excuse) to trek into the wilds of your neighborhood, - in search of inspiration.

Being creative.....is a good thing

Have fun

There have been several countries refusing to take UK recycling as 'paper companies' are being set up - and just dumping 'recycling' in old factory sites. Its ending up all over the world!
We need to have a standardized, easily recyclable plastic.....! AND stop manufacture's putting non perishable goods in vacume packs - hell Butter, Sugar, flour all come in paper - why the hell should screws, handyman fitments and tools come in plastic.
99% of the goods ordered on line are wrapped in several different products - most of which are not recycled by local authorities. It is manufacturer's who are creating the problem - not the consumer!!! But we get the blame....Government needs a kick up the ass and start working with the real culprits.

Hong Kong is/was a large banking and stock market broker, because European rules and regulations were not valid there (Shades of the East India Company - they made their own rules up! 'being far away' from Government). Much of the trade through HK is not regulated as such.....and it also trades with markets that are not open to China!!!! So Trump shutting the US to China Goods (Tariffs) means that China is looking at other outlets (besides Africa). By suggesting extraditing dissidents - ie Capitalists.....it is trying to take over and control HK's financial Industry.
This was always going to happen after the UK withdrawal.....but obviously, Bankers expect 'special treatment' even in the face of the obvious! It probably would not effect students.....But they are young and impressionable - they are just the people to curry public outcry.
The UK kept HK and Shanghai through the Drugs Trade and by supporting warlords !!!!
The rich got richer (and still are) and most Chinese got sod all. Now China is booming perhaps it is fitting that they want control of Hong Kong.

Isn't a little bit of history knowledge wonderful.

I use a sewing needle...carefully!!! or put a elastoplast or self sealing band-aid over it and wet it thoroughly with water. leave overnight. next morning you take off the dressing and you have a very soft white bit of skin (maybe even the splinter stuck to the band-aid.) so that you can see it more easily and successfully dig it out with a sharp needle.

a rub with an whetted alum stick and a plaster also works for those squeamish about digging around using a sharp needle.

Some journals say photos submitted may have NO electronic enhancement. If JPEG is manipulated in the camera, should they be disqualified? If this is true, only RAW un-manipulated photos would qualify. Oh, I know they will accept JPEGs, but I thought this is an interesting, likely unimportant, conundrum.

Just use your cell phone and email it ! They obviously do not want professional images and are likely to pay very little for any photo.
