I read an article recently where a tourist had the strap cut off of their camera bag and the thief took off with the whole ball of wax. To steal someone's memories, that's pretty low.
Tourists have been warned in some places in Italy, not to stand relaxed with their camera gear close to the curb of the road. Motorcyclists drive up close to the curb with a passenger sitting behind and they scoop up your gear pack. Gone.

I would like one with replaceable batteries. my girlfriends rechargeable batteries went dead while taking numerous shots on the big island of hawaii. i would rather have the option of replacing them and shoot right away and have the ability to print on my computer. my email is golfpro1003@yahoo.com tks friends of uglyhedgehog.com
The camera you are wanting has endless choices from cheap to expensive, pocket size to bridge style, and of course various Brand names. Replaceable batteries are common on all cameras, including lithium or AA/AAA. You buy extras. Good luck.
Law enforcement in Orange County Florida said today, there is little hope the todler is still alive. Alligators will be captured to determine the one responsible. If captured?
A couple from Nebraska on vacation, visiting a Disney Resort in Orange County Florida, had their child snatched by at least a 7 foot alligator, while the child was near the shoreline. The father dove in the water to rescue his son, but was unsuccessful in the struggle with the alligator. Orange County Sheriff has jurisdiction of the area. This happened in the late evening.
Thanks for the link. Leon Spinks, now age 62, is struggling with severe health issues today, some attributed to alcohol abuse. He is broke now, married, and relies on the VA for his health care. He is a former US Marine from the early 1970s. Just another sad story of a boxer who became popular by defeating Muhammad Ali around 1978.
I also own the Kenko 1.4X I use on a 70-300mm lens and like it. It is an aftermarket teleconverter and less expensive than either the Nikon or Canon Teleconverters that can cost over $400. The Kenko is less than $150, and I recommend the 1.4X over the 2X. Daylight and manual focus for best results.
A cousin of mine is retired US Army, from Ft. Bliss Texas. The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, do not get the birthday recognition from the media as the US Marines do. I know that it comes just before Veterans Day in November, and is the most ceremonial of all. All the other branches birthdays ???? Thanks for your family service. Happy Birthday Army. I will look up all military branches birthdays and mark my calendar.
I know they have a lot of alligators in Florida. But this one is not your usual alligator story. Poor guy he got stuck. Caused a real smelly situation too.
I like the flat black paint. Different.
I have given prepaid credit card as gifts in the past. Not so recently. If this were a standard credit card, it would be abuse of police power, IMO. Any credit or loaded card can be stolen, misused, and hacked by criminals. I had my standard credit card hacked in 2014. A month later a friend's standard credit card was hacked. I've never had one stolen, but thousands are stolen everyday. Some Major Credit Card Companies have special teams just to address this problem, to cancel your stolen card and issue you another, hacked or otherwise. The article said that if you are the legitimate owner of the prepaid card, the police will reimburse you, if not guilty of a crime. That would be a challenge too, since the police don't usually return any funds to anyone without a legal fight against them. Good luck on that.

do not use FedEx, UPS is the way to go.
I agree. UPS is a first choice for efficiency. Higher shipping fees, but worth it.
The lesson to this topic is to take extra batteries and an extra battery charger. These two items can be purchased inexpensively. Get a car charger adapter too, if traveling by car. And don't pack hastily going on that fabulous trip. And if you are a forgetful person, as many of us are, just make a checklist of important things to take, and check off. Your trip will be far less stressful. Believe me.
If you don't have an 85mm prime, you can purchase both the 35mm and 85mm lens in a two package deal for about $500 at B&H. It's called a twin pack deal.
