I would like one with replaceable batteries. my girlfriends rechargeable batteries went dead while taking numerous shots on the big island of hawaii. i would rather have the option of replacing them and shoot right away and have the ability to print on my computer. my email is golfpro1003@yahoo.com tks friends of uglyhedgehog.com

Why not just get a couple of spare batteries and have them charged. The issue with AA and AAA cameras is that the charges don't last very long, nor are the camera choices very good. We used to use cameras in our office with AA batteries, but we were never happy with their image quality or battery life. Since then (about 3 years ago), we've replaced them with a Canon S110, a Panasonic LX-7, and a cheapo nikon p/s. Once those die, we'll likely get another Canon similar to the S110, as most of the office likes the size and features of the camera.

I recently sent my Nikon Coolpix L610 to my nephew and It's a great little p&s camera with HD recording and great macro capabilities. The pictures that I shot with that camera were excellent. It uses only 2 AA batteries but you need to use lithium or rechargables to get good battery life. You can grab a Coolpix L610 for less than $100. BTW, it also has terrific zoom range.. Check out it out on Youtbe where some owners have posted videos.

The camera you are wanting has endless choices from cheap to expensive, pocket size to bridge style, and of course various Brand names. Replaceable batteries are common on all cameras, including lithium or AA/AAA. You buy extras. Good luck.

But the AA and AAA batteries are so easily available, unless you are shooting deep underground below a massive mountain.

Call B&H, Adorama, KEH--ask for the "used" department and ask them what they have sitting on the shelf that meets your requirements.

Or at Safari camps in Africa. One of our group learned that lesson.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000. This series of bridge cameras is excellent. I have a friend who uses a camera in this series and takes phenomenal photos.

If you like the camera, just buy better batteries.
My K2000 Pentax uses AA batteries and I use
lithium batteries. Slightly more expensive, but long life
