I pulled into a parking lot, and on the dashboard of the car parked in front of me, I saw this cute little white mouse.
Had my camera with me and took a few photos. First one came out double exposed but the next one was OK.
WHAT HAPPENED???
Camera is and was set for single frame

Members have posted similar shots in the past, and I don't recall anyone having a good explanation. Was you car window open?

Does anyone know for sure what happens to the shutter count when you take a double exposure? The shutter count for the two submitted images is 7942 and 7944. The time was only 3 seconds apart so it looks to me like the camera took a double exposure ... why, I have no idea?

My guess would be that since the shutter activates twice, you would increase the shutter count by two.

Is that a fake mouse? Just asking.

You somehow made a double exposure, and moved the camera slightly in between the shots. Maybe you had your camera set differently than you thought. Maybe your camera is in need of repair. It is impossible to say for sure.
