I bought a Z6ii around Christmas time, and have noticed that it goes through a battery much faster than my D750. That is to be expected with the increased electronics on the camera. My D750 would still have over half a charge after shooting a hockey game. I was taking photos at a baseball game with the Z6ii, and the battery was very low when I was done. At the hockey game, I leave the camera on except between periods. The baseball game, I turned the camera off when I wasn't anticipating getting a photo of my grandson.

So I bought a couple of extra batteries. I can use them in the D750, too!

Not the question.
Pay attention.

I think that WAS the question...

"but left the quick release pad on the camera in error.
Does anyone have an idea of where I can find that part? It is a good quality and expensive tripod that is useless without this little screw-on pad."

Sure sounds like a description of the quick-release plate for a tripod head. I know the OP titled the post, "Nikon Tripod Part", but I've never seen a Nikon tripod for sale, so I've got to guess that the post means, a "tripod part for a Nikon".

... What I have tried, with some success, is not metering every shot in venues with somewhat consistent lighting, even if it is poor, and even if it is not perfect. This involves shooting metered test shots before the event starts, finding an exposure combination that yields good results, setting those in Manual mode, and not worrying about exposure any further. I have found that any small variations in lighting present a much smaller problem than meter "errors" stemming from odd mixes of light and dark in a composed image. I do check periodically to see if the overall lighting balance is still good.

This is the approach I use when taking hockey photos. Shoot some test shots during warmups, then lock it in and shoot. I generally use a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8, at 1/1000 and ISO 6400. I have a D750, but shot for several years with a D7200. I use Topaz DeNoise AI to clean up the noise. The noise is not excessive, but definitely noticeable before processing. You can see them on my Flickr page ( https://flickr.com/photos/143035827@N05/ ).

No, it’s 3.60

Sorry, I didn't look close enough. I have the Z6ii.

I think you mean 1.60. Mine updated without any issues. I'm a little disappointed that the update didn't include anything for the autofocus system. May have to wait for the rumored Z6iii.

This from the update site:

• Made the following additions to the [CUSTOM SETTING MENU]:
- Added [Always] and [Only when flash is not used] options for Custom Setting d9 [Apply settings to live view] > [On].
- Added d10 [Warm display colors]
- Added d11 [Image frame]
- Added g7 [Red REC frame indicator]
• Added [Finder display size (photo Lv)] to the [SETUP MENU].
• The [Prioritize viewfinder] monitor mode has been replaced by [Prioritize viewfinder (1)] and [Prioritize viewfinder (2)].
• Fixed the following issues:
- A drop in brightness sometimes occurred in part of photographs taken using a flash.
- In some cases, the OK button could not be used to interrupt the interval-timer or focus shift photography when the viewfinder was used.
- Focus could still be adjusted using the focus ring when [Disable] was selected for [Manual focus ring in AF mode] in the [CUSTOM SETTING MENU] if an option other than [Non-linear] was chosen for [Focus ring rotation range] in the [CUSTOM SETTING MENU].

“You can carry the camera anywhere to capture anything at any time, recording inspiration as it strikes,” Phase One explains.

Yeah, unlike all those OTHER cameras.

"The integrated lens in the XC appears to be the same Rodenstock 23mm f/5.6 lens available for the XT camera system. The lens’ aperture ranges from f/5.6 to f/22, and the manual focus lens has a 72mm filter thread. When purchased for the XT, the lens is $11,990."

"The Phase One XC Camera is available to order now in limited quantities for $62,490, the same price as the Phase One XT IQ4 150MP and XT 23mm lens kit."

What segment of the population are they marketing? I don't see a lot of interest in this thing, but then, what do I know? Manual focus lens, equivalent to a 14.7mm lens on a full-frame camera. I didn't see any mention of storage media on the camera; those files must be huge... 150-megapixel images are 14,204 x 10,652 pixels.

We always seem to have a small flock of these hanging out around the backyard bird feeders. They're rather pretty with the blue ring around their eye.

I doubt you'll see any difference in sharpness. Depending on what you shoot, you may see a difference in focus speed. I used to use my 80-200mm for shooting hockey, and at times you could FEEL the lens elements moving around as it focused. I upgraded after a year or so to the 70-200mm, and it seems to focus a little quicker, and I don't notice the lens focusing. No picture quality differences that I could see. Oh, and it's nice to be able to remove the tripod foot if I don't need it. Can't take it off on the 80-200mm.

I shot the 80-200mm mostly on a D7200; I think I upgraded to the D750 after I got the 70-200mm. I still have the 80-200mm, but I haven't shot it since I got the 70-200mm. I should probably quit being lazy and sell it before it loses all value!

Never fails! I just bought this lens for $809 (plus tax) two weeks ago! Bought it for my grandson's baseball and haven't even had a chance to take it to a game yet. Definitely need the monopod with this lens.

Good luck on your sale.

Here's a couple of lens compatibility charts. The top is from the Nikon USA Web site, the second is from Ken Rockwell. Nikon also has a very comprehensive spreadsheet you can download from here: https://nikonsupport.eu/europe/images/5532/LCC_En.xlsx

Wow! That really dumps a lot of data. Looking through the data dump from one Nikon RAW image, I ran across a term that I wasn't familiar with, so I learned something. The term is "Circle of Confusion". Although I sometimes feel surrounded by the Circle of Confusion, I wasn't aware of this term in photography! Turns out it is a measurement of the 'sharpness of focus".

I used the command-line "exiftool -a -u -g1 -ee3 -api RequestAll=3 *Filename* > *Filename*.txt

This resulted in a 25 Kb text file of 579 lines.

Here's where I found a good explanation of the "Circle of Confusion"

You see these all the time on Facebook, for various products. I always take the time to click on the menu (3 dots in upper-right corner) and report the ad as a scam. Every little bit helps.

If I'm not mistaken, the HX99 has a pop-up viewfinder that might seem flimsy. Panasonic makes the Lumix DCZS80 which is similar with a solid viewfinder. It might be a shade larger. I love mine. For a model with a much larger sensor, the DMC-ZS100 or -ZS200D is available, 'tho with a lesser zoom.

I bought a Lumix DC-ZS80 after reading some comments on here. I take it to concerts where they don't allow cameras with a removable lens. I really like the long optical zoom (30x, 24-720mm) and it shoots great video (4K). The photos I take are quite noisy from pushing the ISO at an indoor concert, but a little Topaz DeNoise goes a long way.

Here's a photo from a recent Eric Johnson show. We were in the 5th row.

I had an email from Scott Kelby talking about some big Adobe announcement at 9am (Eastern). Didn't join in, so that's all I've got.

I read an article a few years back about how most of the 'chain' eyeglass stores are owned by one company. That may have changed a bit since then, with some new online sources.
