CNN is reporting a new version of Photoshop incorporating AI. Anyone know about this?
I had an email from Scott Kelby talking about some big Adobe announcement at 9am (Eastern). Didn't join in, so that's all I've got.

Terry White, Colin Smith, Jesus Ramirez, Unmesh Dinda and a bunch of people I never heard of had videos on this early this morning. It's pretty cool, actually. It has it's flaws, but that's why it's only in the beta version.
What might be even better is that the standard version 24.5 now shipping includes the Remove Tool and new Gradient adjustment layer, which has only been in the beta for many months until now. It also includes the contextual tool bar, which for me, the jury is out on...
Adobe has always bugged me since they started subscriptions... " Adobe Firefly generative AI" tho it flashes as it flies around, bugs me all the more. Next they will be autonomously drive you car with Adobe AI!!! using a dash cam input.
AI is the latest bandwagon and all must join the parade or parish. I have Paintshop Pro 2023 with builtin AI [started in 2020] and also magic Topaz AI programs. No rental agent, nor sheriff pay-up or vacate warrant. Is Adobe just a Johnny-come-lately me-too? Leonardo.AI and Midjourney go a step beyond.
PSPro 2023 AI features are discussed:

You say, "Next they will be autonomously drive you car with Adobe AI!!! using a dash cam input." Get with the program, Tesla is already doing this.
It is pretty short-sighteded, penurious, ill informed, and simpleminded to not take advantage of an Adobe subscription that continues to offer state of the art photo processing.
Keep riding your dinosaurs and you will never catch up, but this could be the best course of action if you do not take photo editing seriously.

Well, Topaz Photo AI, Topaz Denoise AI, Topaz Sharpen AI, Topaz Gigapixel AI—all are (more or less) wondrous Photoshop plugins, so there is that...
The new Firefly in Photoshop is in the beta version, free to anyone who has a CC subscription to the Photographer's Package for $120 per year billed at $10 monthly...so if you want to point out the cost for the extra cloud storage of the $21 version, that's fine, but don't make it out to be something it is not.
