I placed a single feeder in a convenient location in my back yard got a hummingbird to feed there, prefocused a spot and waited for an opportunity. Use a Canon 50mm 1.4, ISO 400, F10, 1/200 of a second.

Oh, the irony? The Sequester hadn't gone into effect until well after the Ambassador had been murdered. The White House had been warned about Al qaeda in that area 1 month prior to his assassination. Let me remind you that the Sequester budget cuts was the result of a Board appointed by the President. The Sequester Bill was passed by the House & the Senate and immediately signed by the President. He could have vetoed the Bill but did not. The Republican's pushed thru a Bill that would have given the President the discretionary ability to make the cuts in "Non Essential" area's. He chose not to sign that Bill, but rather play the Petulant child , and shut down White House tours and then Air Traffic Controllers. And if you saw the Liberal ABC tonight, John Carl, you saw that the White House & The State Dept, altered the CIA report 12 times before that got the story they wanted. So the President knowingly went on National TV amd lied thru his teeth, Hillary Clinton lied thru her teeth and poor puppet Susan Rice was thrown under the bus by the President by not picking her for Secretary of State because she got caught lying for the President. Now that is "Irony"

Read your comment, almost had a heart attack, 15,000 plus photos. Called Carbonite spent about 20 minutes on the phone with their tech service. They assured me the photos would be restored to their original size. I read them your comments they said you should contact their tech support. I am sure you already have., but thanks for posting.

I have been trying to shoot these little things for a week. They are not native to the UK but come over from Scandinavia in severe winters to feed on berries in the UK's milder climate. This flock of around 20 individuals has been hanging around the neighbourhood for a week or so feeding on cotoneaster berries in garden hedges. Cotoneaster berries appear to be pretty unpalatable to most birds and I think that they are eating these out of sheer hunger as there is nothing else left.

They have their plummage plumped up against the cold wind.

I don't know but a guess...some kind of visor? The straps are just long enough to go around someone's head and it is the size of a visor. It does not open up on the front or the back, and the front has folds so it flares open a little.
Anyone ever seen anything like this?
It does make a good topic of conversation!

Its a "netfer"

One old chap told me told me he only took a quarter tablet, when I asked how that helped him, he replied " Its just strong enough to stop me dribbling on my slippers after a wee!!"

when you take it you have to swallow it immediately or you'll wind up with a stiff neck.
