a couple of pointers from my perspective a lens in the 85 to 135mm focal length seems to be the best range and the other key component is ability to get background blur which requires a fast lens something in the 1.8 or 1.4 aperture range. I also have an a99 and use an 85mm 1.8 Tamron lens or my 2.8 70-200 Tamron.
My sony camera supports Bluetooth and sony's imaging edge mobile app which runs on my android phone provides the means for the camera to reach out via Bluetooth to the phone to obtain GPS data which is then stored with the image and available to lightroom... The imaging edge software has recently been upgraded and finally it consistently connects and keeps the connection with the phone.. I suspect the other brands would have similar capability.
I have 2 27" monitors on my desk side by side and slightly angled toward each other. I have them set up as extended and couldn't imagine going back to even 1 27" monitor
a very nice scene (I am partial to seashore scenes). Using Lightroom I tried to emphasize the dynamics of the lighting the sun on the right the high shadow on the house rocks cart character and the shore in general. I hope you like it and thanks for posting and giving us a crack at honing our editing skills....
