Almost 4 years ago we tried a little experiment on this section (one of many) and called it My Image Your Look. We thought it would be interesting to post some imperfect images and see what others could transform them into. Great to see that it's still going on and people are still having fun with it. Thank you all for helping make it work, and to Keni for bequeathing a spot in the rotation to me by taking a week away after she won this week's challenge.
Next week we're headed back to one of my favorite places, Monhegan Island. This time two other photographer couples will be going with us. If you take a wild notion, you're welcome to join us. This is a typical challenge we'll face: too much dynamic range from shooting into afternoon sun on the inhabited side of the island. This is a shot of one of several working artists who live there, and while I preserved a fair amount of detail, it is hiding, and some is lost. I'd like to see what you do with it.

Artist At Work, Monhegan Island: My view.
I love the shot.
I was going to take out some of the foreground but felt it helped describe the peaceful mood.
Thank you for letting us work on one of your images Minnie!
Nothing outrageous with this attempt. I only wanted to bring out what is there without altering the time of day mood. But the pigeon got its head back and the building has stopped leaning left.
Thank you minniev for another captivating Monhegan image to work on.
.
Thanks Minnie for lending us your image. Thought I'd try a slightly different approach by cropping the sun out. Hope you enjoy your trip back to the island next week. Bev
Artist At Work in the Late Afternoon Light on Monhegan Island
I made it a different story. She waits for the boat.

A Nature's "Widow's Walk"?
I love it Michael and Bob, the ideas keep coming. Bev

You do know who that painter is, don't you Paula? Say hi to Monhegan for me.

Wish you’d just pack up and come with us! We are looking forward to it.
Yes, and that artwork is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
And while I was looking for an image to post I ran across one of you that I didn’t know I had, I took it before I met you!
Great image to play with -- thanks for offering it up.
This was a very nice image to work with Minnie. Even though it was dark, the details were still there in the RAW file.
