Your model might have been the best of all the models in the contest, but the picture of her is soft and the background is a bit much - competing, and busy if I may.

But the model is stunning for her age. She may be about a minute past 50 and that's all!

They don't put CD players in new cars anymore but you can load tunes on a thumb drive and they'll play just fine.
So I filled up a 64 gb drive with no issues in the car. But I have a large collection so I got a 128gb drive & added to it but the car won't recognize the drive. The only difference I can see is that the 64gb drive's file system is fat32 while the 128gb drive is exfat. What might be my options? Could I reformat the 128 drive to fat32. Are there already 128 gb drives available that are fat32 (assuming that's issue).?

I have very few black ants in my house; here's why. Photo 1 shows the soil around my foundation covered with hundreds of these inverted cones/pits. The quarter is to show scale. These are the traps of the Ant Lion who burrows into the soil and then flicks his head to throw the soil up and out. The sides of the pit are constructed at the "angle of repose" which is the steepest you can pile dirt up, without it collapsing in on itself. A hapless and falls into the pit and as it tries to scramble out, the sides collapse and the ant falls to the bottom of the pit.

Photo 2 shows what awaits the ant in the soil underneath the bottom of the pit. The Ant Lion is about the size of a big sunflower seed with some serious pincers that reach up through the dirt, grabbing the ant and pulling it underground for a meal. Does anyone remember in "Star Wars Return of the Jedi" the pit in the desert with the Sarlac monster waiting for a prisoner of Jobba the Hut to be thrown in?

Needles to say, I go through great pains not to disturb what I refer to as the "ant mine field" hidden behind my shrubs.

I see that you caught one. Hard to do. I've tried many times and missed. It's cool to actually see one.

I took one course in Economics in college because that's all that was left and I needed it to fill out my credits. I didn't understand what he was talking about right from the first day and it didn't get any better.
So here's my problem. The Federal Reserve just increased interest rate by .75% with the good news that another increase would be coming later in the summer. This is all done to ward off recession.(I think it's already here) So the interest rate will increase the rate on credit cards, car purchases, housing and everything else and they say our pay check will be less to. I'm not sure about that but it certainly won't go as far.
Finally to the point. If all these things are going to cost us more how will that help to ward off recession? Please don't be a college professor and explain it to me in six syllable words. Just single syllable layman's grunts will do just fine.,
My wife has several health issues so I will be away from the computer fot the next several hours Thanks

My guess is that if they raise interest, you won't buy as much because you can't afford it now. If there are less purchases, that means there's more product, more product and less buying is the same as supply and demand. When the demand is high, the supply goes down and things become more expensive. When the demand goes down, there is a larger supply and therefore the price will decrease to get rid of all the stuff in the warehouses. I don't know if this works though. I know that every time we have a lefty in the white house, we have problems like this. Usually unemployment is really high but now it seems low. I do think that stat is skewed because many people have not returned to work since C***d. But many may return to work now that inflation is high and the free money has run out.

You ever leave your key in the front door lock, then can't find em. I did. Ever get a rent check from your tenant and misplace it and have to ask them to cancel check, and write a new one. Then 8 years later find it in the little pouch hanging from the seat on my ten speed bicycle!! Ugh! I guess that check isn't any good now. The other day I must have looked for over 30 minutes for a box of gloves that I use for just about everything including working on the car, or cleaning guns. Where did I find them? Well, funny you should ask. They were in the kitchen cabinet because now I remember using them to handle raw chicken I was preparing for dinner about a week ago. Ugh!!

Why do people waste time converting to TIFF.
The raw has all the data and from what I see most all, if not all, web sites only use JPEGs.
Also most printers seem to require JPEGs. Perhaps some special printers use TIFFs.
But overall they seem like a waste of life when one has the raw file.

People probably don't "convert" to tiff. They work on the raw file and then "save" as a tiff (or psd). The reason for this is that you can't save your work after done editing the raw as a raw again. You must save it as something other than the original. The biggest reason to save as a tiff is because many people use layers and only certain file formats will save all the layers. The second reason is because a tiff is a 16/32 bit file - more data means more detail and range of color. A jpg is only an 8-bit file.

The young woodpeckers have left the nest and are flying from limb to limb begging their parents to be fed. These are the first fledglings I have seen this season, but there are more to come. I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

Golden-fronted Woodpecker. It's nice to know the name.

Best I can tell, you have captured the south end of a north bound bird.

Yup. No ID on this one. Better luck next time getting a front shot. I don't have any bird books for that area, but if you get one for that area, it's shouldn't be too hard to find a bird with an all white tail.

I watched 2 out of the 3 you mentioned. Indy and Coke 600. Both were exciting. The Nascar race had more wrecks than I thought they'd have. But since it's a new car, I guess they are still getting used to the handling.

My son was out of work for about a week with Covid, and he used three sick days. When he got back, he learned that if he had gotten a note from a doctor, he wouldn't have had to use his sick days. It was nice of them to tell him that after the fact.

Ironically, the doctor doesn't want anyone coming in with Covid symptoms. Going to the ER and paying them to provide a test wouldn't be economically feasible. Catch-22.

Anyway, if you think you have to be out of work with Covid, check on their sick day policy.

You would think that a written results from a covid test from the local CVS or the email from them would suffice.

One of my favorite birds.I have seen more of them this year.

You have quite a bit of noise in your images. If you want to improve them, try opening up from f/8 to wide open f/4 (I assume). Then bring your ISO down to somewhere between 400 and 640. Then use a shutter speed somewhere between 1/1600 and 1/2000. This shutter speed will be fast enough to stop the movement in your hand held equipment and the movement of most birds. You will have very professional looking images if you keep your ISO as low as possible.
