Pardon me for stepping in. If the image you sent is of your menu then you only have two Raw settings and only one size. I hope I'm helping you here. First, you'll see you have 2 L, 2 M, 2 S1, an S2 an S3. Then you have Raw+jpeg and Raw. The L, M, and S are for jpeg format. The Raw+jpeg setting will give you both a Raw file and a jpeg file of the same picture you're taking and the Raw will only take a Raw format picture. The Raw setting in your camera shoots the biggest picture it is capable of, IE if you have a 15 megapixel camera then its Raw setting shoots 15 megapixels. For printing though most people process their raw files to jpegs or other format prior to printing. If you need more help let me know and I'll get on my computer, I'm on my ipad and its slow typing. Anyway, I hope this helps.

RMM's suggestion is right on, just make sure you're in AV, TV, M, BULB modes and set the camera for raw.

You're welcome. That last image should be up on the wall, framed.

The second and the last image are fantastic but, they both need to be straightened.

If I remember correctly In some shooting modes, auto, landscape, portrait. ( the automatic shooting modes) only shoot in jpeg. Only AV, TV, Manual, Program, Bulb can be shot in Raw and Raw/Jpeg. Read the manual it explains the different formats available for the shooting modes. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure this is a male Anna'a Humming bird but I'm not sure. Does anyone know about hummingbirds? There are at least 4 female / immature males, I can't tell the difference, and this mature male who visit the feeder in my yard. Hope you like 'em.

The only thing I've read come out of you is judgmental BS. Why are you so fixated on the negative aspects of this forum? I bet you sit there reading every thread and then spend hours thinking up big words and complicated phrases so you can seem like some photo guru or some kind of philosophic professor. You come across as an A$$. If you don't like the forum, leave. I'm hoping everyone will stop replying to your threads, as this will be the last one I reply to, because all you seem to want to do is stir up the pot. It's really pathetic.

[quote=lockdown]Went to get my laptop fixed so thay said that thay saved my photos for me 2700 of them. To make a long story short. I had to give them my exturnal drive for thay could down load my pictures because thay couldn't down load them back on my laptop??? When I got my pictures back a pop up showed me that the files are unsupported damaged and or corrupted. Has this ever happened to any one and if it has. Is there a way I can get my pictures back. As a photographyer, I love my pictures and thay are priceless to me. Help me if you can cause i'm felling down:-([/quo

If the files are raw and they reformatted the hard drive on your laptop make sure you still have the codecs for the raw files. If not, redownload and reinstall the codecs. This happened to me years ago and solved the issue.

SLR Photography is definitely for those who like expensive toys. I admit, I love the feeling of getting a new lens, camera, tripod, etc. Usually though the feeling goes away sooner than I'd like and I'm sitting there with something I really didn't need. If I'm honest with myself I have all I NEED for photography. I'd like all L series lenses for my camera but I'm not that rich yet. And honestly, I can almost, and I stress almost, get the same results as an L lens with my current lenses, I just need a little post processing to get there. Photography gives me the creative medium I need for the artist in me. I can't paint or draw worth a dam, I've tried. I spend hours and hours thinking about a shot, when I should go for the best lighting, the different points of view, what can I do to make the shot even better, filters, tripods, angles of shots, black n white, color, depth of field, shutter speed, on and on and on. So, in a nut shell photography gives me both, a creative output for the artist in me and the feeling of a kid at Christmas when I get a new (toy). Can anyone relate?

Can you imagine the look on the bride and groom's faces if you showed up to their wedding with a point and shoot. PRICELESS.

First time doing the "Photo a day challenge" I shot these this morning and the one on the bottom a couple days ago. I hope you like them.

The male is very hard to get. Extremely fast and skiddish.
