Not sure that the camera captured what your eye was seeing. What do you think?

Nikonian72 hit it. There is no subject here. This can be a case of seeing something that was really cool in person, but just does not translate well to a two dimensional image.

It is too busy to figure out what the photo is about..... Nothing stands out that gives the photo a subject/purpose

I was trying to get that disfigured palm tree. I might have to go get the tree and show you what I was trying to do. I'm goin to see if I can do a retake.

To be honest I am lost. What is the story you are trying to tell with your photo? Where is the focal point? It is a bit overexposed, but that can be fixed. What are you trying to say here?

On many occasions what our eyes see is not what shows up in our photos . Maybe if you could shoot the tree from another angle. Or get some closeups of the bent trunk. Or maybe switch gears and get some really close shots of the leaves and bark! Good luck!

I'm surrounded by palms. I've tried to get a good image but so far have not been happy with any of them. I still shoot them......maybe one day I will get a good one. One thing I've learned is avoid palms with dead frons....they just look bad to me from any angle. Good luck!
