Agreed.
I don't read past ... maybe page 3.

There are so many OTHER advantages to EVF that the manufacturers are now simly pandering to the died in the wool older generation clunk click photograhers who will not move with the times.
I have a D750 and an X-T2 - image quality of the 2 exceeds my "talent" and the X-T2 fits my hands better and is easier to carry but you can keep the EVF. The image that appears in the X-T2 always looks 'fake' to me. That 'fake' image may be what will ultimately be the final image but I'm not 'uncomfortable' with the image I'm getting with my Nikon that I care about that. I usually take both cameras with me when I go out because each has trade offs and I can never decide which to take - so, I'm happy!
It's great that some people like the EVF, I'm just not one of them.
57 Chevy - the most beautiful car ever made!
Nice pics!
#1 has a lot of 'fringing' in the branches above the barn, also the barn roof at the peak and the left side of the roof and the same 'fringe' - it is not there in #2. Other than that I like the barn and grass in #1 and the trees in #2.
Struck out? Several people?
Well, there you have it. Apple sucks. Everyone can be happy now.
on second thought .... I was going to comment but ....
I live a few miles from where you took these beautiful photographs - every time I go to Bloomington I have to be careful when driving by this vista it can be very distracting. The weather, as you stated, has been lousy and normally this is my favorite time of the year .... but not this year!
Thanks for posting these!
Thanks to all for the comments.
Funny thing - this was a processed raw file from my Fuji X-T2 and after I got done messing with it in Lightroom I exported it to a jpg file. The I opened up the jpg file that was straight from the camera and it looks almost exactly the same. Now I'm starting to wonder about all the time I spend in Lightroom.
Oh, well ....
I took this picture early-ish this morning. As much as I love this time of year I also dread what this portends ......
This was taken out my back door and looking west - makes for great morning shots but we almost never see sunsets because of the hill.
This isn't meant to start one of those my computer is best wars as no system is perfect.
I used to do fresh installs of Windows all the time, eventually got tired of it, and bought my first Mac. I don't have to do all that stuff anymore.
And - here's the punchline - I don't think it is Microsoft's fault and it doesn't necessarily mean my Macs are "better". Macs are in a much, much more controlled environment - the OS only runs on Mac hardware. Microsoft on the other hand has to run on a billion (may be a slight exaggeration) different hardware combos. The hardware permutations that Windows has to deal with dwarf what OS X has to deal with and then throw in the huge amount of software combos, video drivers, etc. that can exist with Windows that I've always been surprised that Windows even works.
All that being said, I simplified my life and went with a somewhat more controlled environment and reduced my frustration. Hopefully, as you read this you'll appreciate that I used the words somewhat and reduced.
I do the same thing for the same reason but also because I live out in the middle of nowhere and have satellite internet. For those of you that don't know how that works I have a data limit per month (30 gb during "prime time - 8AM to 2AM). That amounts to 1 gb / day and that can go by pretty quickly if you're on UHH looking at pictures!
My brother lives in South Bend and he told me his family uses around 20-30 gb a day! They stream everything - no cable tv. So, I do my best to avoid re-downloading software whenever I can.

I recommend copying or moving your Downloads folder to another location - external drive - flash drive - an internal drive other than your operating system drive (C for most people). Remember to direct downloads to that location. It may save, "your butt"!

Then there is that whole gender identity "science" ..... x and y chromosomes are a right wing conspiracy - 98% of the worlds scientists said so.

Indianapolis, IN This photo for some reason looks fine on several sites (in large mode) including flickr. Here and a couple others the download looks horrible. Why is this?
Maybe it's me but I downloaded the photo and I love the effect - I understand it is not what you want but I would love to figure out how to make a photo look this way (not all pics but occasionally it would work - like it does on this one).
Here's my take, remembering that personal taste is important, so you and I may like different things.
Set #1: Honestly, I like your original better. The contrast is better and the color is richer. Also, the sun is a little too blown out in the 2nd one.
Set #2: I like what you did with the sun and sky, again better contrast and richer color. The other thought I have is that I would leave the bushes on the right as cameos - I'd take the color out, it is kind of distracting from the sky. Where I'm conflicted is with the boat, I like what you did with the boat but is it distracting from the sky? I can't decide .....
Set #3: Good job - I like it! Maybe dial back the blue in the sky just a little.
I live out where I need a GPS to find my way home - kinda - and almost every evening I hear owls 'hooting' south of the house. I've walked all over the place trying to find them and get a photo or two of one but I've never (in 14 years) been successful.
So, tonight, I'm sitting in my living room and I see this giant pair of wings out the window at the back of our house. They were big enough that it got my attention and when I looked up - sitting in a white pine tree about 20' from my living room window was this beautiful Barred Owl. He seemed to be watching the finches on our bird feeder .... ??? .... Anyway, here are a couple pictures of him (her?).
