I have one somewhere that I built. Haven't used it for years.
I travel to Wyoming each fall with all my camera equipment, guns and hunting equipment. I had an additional alarm system installed on the truck. I carry an over night bag and leave everything in the truck. When the alarm is tripped all h-ll breaks loose. It makes so lots of noise and the lights flashing. I always leave it close to the main entrance. The only time it has ever gone off was in the Chicago area. I can no longer get a room at that hotel.
I have three Tamrac cases one that goes way back into their early days. They wear like cast iron and give great service. The one backpack use as a day pack and it has not been treated very nice but continues to hold up to my demands. I would not trade any of them
I have the 1.4 it is a great lens. I use it for flowers, milk weed pods, etc. for the shallower DOF. I have always had a 1.4 from back in the film days.
70-300 MM Nikon with my 7200. I do mostly wildlife and need the reach.
My bad I wrote it in a hurry it should have read I also have a sigma and Nikon is a sharper lens.
I also have the Nikon and it is a great lens. I also have a sigma and it is a sharper lens.
I have one on order, just awaiting for its arrival thanks for posting the Pics. They helped.
I use my Kenko on my 150-500, I also see no issues with sharpness.
TC's are very useful when you need that extra little reach.
I would go with the 18-300 and a 35mm 1.8, these will cover anything that the caribbean has to offer. Both are great lenses and will provide great range. I have learned to travel light and only take 2 lenses and one body either a D90 or 7100 a few filters.
Sorry about your family's loss. Our prayers go out to you and your family.
Sally suffered a similar brake of her left ankle on March 31 surgery on April 1 and all of the same hardware a week in the hospital followed so far by 8 weeks in Rehab and counting. She is not a happy camper wants to come home. I really feel for you and your wife and wish her a speedy recovery.
Great shots. Shots like this are really hard to get.
